I'll kick it off with an early 1-0 lead for Puppets. Will be interesting to see peoples album comparisons for this one.

Easy, RIP for me.

I like Megadeth overall better then Metallica, and I think that MoP is a pretty boring album.
I mean, half of it is fantastic, but the other parts suck.
Now that RIP is great from start to finish, there are some slow parts, but they get replaced with awesomeness pretty soon.

Rust in Peace for me as well. Master of Puppets has some fantastic songs, but I think a couple of songs on there kill the momentum a bit (The Thing ..., Leper Messiah). The "less-than-fantastic" songs on Rust in Peace don't feel the same way. Then if I pick, say, four favourite songs from each album, these will be:

Master of Puppets: Title track, Orion, Welcome Home and Battery.
Rust in Peace: Holy Wars... The punishment due, Hangar 18, Tornado of Souls, title track.

When comparing these two groups, I find that I enjoy the latter just a little more.

1. Battery v. Holy Wars : Both are amazing, but Holy Wars wins. 0-1.
2. Master of Puppets v. Hangar 18 : Hangar 18 is my favorite Megadeth song. 0-2.
3. The Thing That Should Not Be v. Take No Prisoners : TTTSNB wins with its amazing dark feelings. 1-2.
4. Sanitarium v. Five Magics : Sanitarium wins easily. 2-2.
5. Disposable Heroes v. Poison Was the Cure : Another easy win for MOP. 3-2.
6. Leper Messiah v. Lucretia : I love Leper Messiah so much. 4-2.
7. Orion v. Tornado of Souls : Tornado of Souls wins easily. 4-3.
8. Damage, Inc. v. Rust in Peace... Polaris : Damage, Inc. wins easily. 5-3.

5-3 Master of Puppets wins and it's a better album overall.

Metallica - Master of Puppets.

I don't even have to think about this one at all... Puppets every time. Rust In Peace is a good album but Puppets is in a completely different league.
