If MoP wins this (I'm not doubting at all), it will go straight to the Finals, where it will compete against the winner of RtL vs RiP duel. And if RiP wins that, I'm pretty sure MoP will beat RiP.

Rust in Peace making an epic MOP vs RIP final. (however Painkiller pulverizes all of them)

Rust in Peace, let's break this down.

Track 1: Holy Wars...The Punishment Due v Fight Fire With Fire- Not even worth assessing, Holy Wars smashes it.
Track 2: Hangar 18 v Ride the Lightning - Ride the Lightning is good, Hangar 18 is sick. Hangar 18 wins.
Track 3: Take No Prisoners v For Whom the Bell Tolls - The latter but not that easily, TNP is underrated IMO
Track 4: Five Magics v Fade to Black - Fade to Black, no questions there.
Track 5: Poison Was the Cure v Trapped Under Ice - Trapped Under Ice.
Track 6: Lucretia v Escape - Not even worth assessing, Lucretia smashes it.
Track 7: Tornado of Souls v Creeping Death - Pretty close but Tornado just.
Track 8: Forget about Dawn Patrol, it's just something extra.
Closing Track: Rust in Peace...Polaris v Call of Ktulu -  Not even worth assessing, Rust in Peace smashes it.

Track by track :

1. Holy Wars v Fight Fire with Fire

Fight Fire with Fire is one of my favorite Metallica songs. I like its atmosphere, heavy riff and solos. But Holy Wars has better riffs and better solos. Only better thing about Fight Fire with Fire is its double guitar solo, which starts after the main solo. Rust in Peace wins.

2. Hangar 18 v Ride the Lightning

Hangar 18 is my favorite Megadeth song, Ride the Lightning is an amazing song but Rust in Peace wins again.

3. Take No Prisoners v For Whom the Bell Tolls

For Whom the Bell Tolls wins easily.

4. Five Magics v Fade to Black

Another easy win for Ride the Lightning.

5. Poison Was the Cure v Trapped Under Ice

Trapped Under Ice is better at every part of these songs.

6. Lucretia v Escape

Easy win for Rust in Peace.

7. Tornado of Souls v Creeping Death

Both songs are my 2nd favorites from these bands. Tornado of Souls has one of my favorite solos in the world. But Creeping Death's solo is good too and CD has better vocals and better riffs. Creeping Death wins. That was the key matchup for sure.

Skipping Dawn Patrol.

8. Rust in Peace... Polaris v The Call of Ktulu

The Call of Ktulu wins by far. It's just a masterpiece.

Both albums are masterpieces but RTL is better for me. Ride the Lightning.

Interesting to see the opinions between Creeping Death and Tornado of Souls. I personally prefer Creeping Death, but not my much, and its my fave metallica song :D

Metallica - Ride the Lightning

Worse than Painkiller, but I like it better than anything from Megadeth (I can't stand Mustain's voice, nor am I very impressed by Megadeth's lyrics).

Hard one, but Rust In Peace, because Megadeth is overall better than Metallica.

Rust in Peace.

The way Forostar feels about Megadeth is the way I feel about Metallica. I really, really don't like them.

I can't believe Painkiller won't be in the final two. :( I would've legitimately struggled for a couple of seconds if this ended up being Painkiller vs. RiP (although I think I would've picked the former in the end), whereas now I'm rooting for an album that's not even in my top 30.

Oh well. I'm glad to see Megadeth lives. :)
