Prequelle is easily Ghost's best work, there is not a single bad song on the album. I do think it loses some drive in the latter half, but the power is still there. Even the songs I like less here are only down a point or two from my favorites.

This album is Tobias literally taking the band to their highest point and showing the fans everything that they can do. It's heavy songs, catchy pop songs, huge ballads, sweeping orchestral parts and guitar harmonies, jazz horns, quiet folk melodies...it's really just a brilliant work. My only complaint is that there's only 7 songs with vocals and that the lyrics of Pro Memoria are so silly that I can't take the song seriously at all.

Absolution is one of the best Ghost songs period. Right now I'd rate it as my 2nd favorite overall, behind only Square Hammer.
