There's a strong possibility you could reach Moscow from Lisabon faster by utilizing high speed railway through Scandinavia, even with ferry interconnections, than if you chose to drive a car. Polish motorways were just starting in numbers at the time of Euro there, situation is better now but I'm 100% sure there are no motorways beyond (Belarus etc).
Can't read that either. I see the point though. Still curious to read some more in/on it.There's nothing to read really, it just lists the names of the railway systems. Point is highspeed railways are nowhere to be found in Eastern Europe.
