In Your Honor disc 2 has joined the battle!

Best Of You
Friend of a Friend
Over and Out
Skin And Bones (Foo Fighters' Fear of the Dark, fun live song, meh studio song.)

The 2nd disc of In Your Honor is light years better than the first. It's easy to tell that this was the band's main focus. The arrangements are bigger than normal, and there are many different instruments layered throughout the album, that gives it a great texture. Really cool disc.

Not real comfortable with that round.
Other than Cold Day in the Sun, the songs were generally good, but they all kind of blended together for me.
A low-key album like that will take some time to appreciate that I didn't give it.

Definitely, I felt almost exactly the same way when I first heard it. I liked it but I couldn't pull out specific songs, except the last three, which are the most unique sounding. Cold Day In The Sun is a pop rocker that sounds fine played on electric guitars, as they play it these days, the Bossa Nova Virginia Moon, (featuring excellent vocal harmonies and piano playing from Norah Jones!) and the dark solo piece, Razor, which was the song that made me go out and buy the album in the first place. Now I would say that the only song I dislike is Friend of a Friend, I think every other song is great. And while Virginia Moon and Cold Day would still be my favorites, after hearing the album more times, I go to On The Mend more often, it's a great song and those guitar harmonies are really beautiful. World is also excellent, but not on the album.

Echoes, Silence, Patience, & Grace has joined the battle!

This is shaping up to being the first survivor without promoted songs.

Stranger Things
Ballad
Once & For All
Seda

The Foos' most dynamic album. This is like if you took the rock disc and the acoustic disc of In Your Honor and combined them into one. Some songs start heavy and break into softer middle section, others start out soft and build up to something huge. This album took forever for me to get into. At this point I had heard all the other albums (excluding Wasting Light which wasn't out yet), and it was so unlike any Foo Fighters album. Since In Your Honor was my first album from them, I didn't really notice the similarities at first, but eventually they became obvious, and this album clicked. If you're looking for straight up rockers, this may not be for you, as this album only has 4. The soft stuff is really great though, and often feels more inspired/creative than much of In Your Honor, and it's the mix of acoustic and electric that makes them so great. This album changes mood so much, it really takes the listener for a ride. Also, Let It Die and Come Alive probably have the best climaxes the Foo Fighters have written.

I liked this album a lot - probably the best first impression of any of them.
Great variety of songs, so, as you say, it makes a dynamic package.

I plan on giving the remaining songs in the game a serious relisten over the weekend to get prepared for the final stretch.

Hey Mosh, we lost Everlong.
It disappeared a few rounds ago.
Don't think it's ever had a vote.

Oh damn it, thanks for letting me know. It appears I've been forgetting Walking After You as well, all this will be fixed next round.

First time in the game I'll be mourning a song.
Listening to Stranger Things as I type this.
It's got great acoustic guitar interplay and a cool deep woods blues feel, plus those great Foos hooks.
