It's weird how often you see big fans of Maiden and AC/DC, when they're such different bands. I wonder why that is?

Sorry but you're so very wrong there. AC/DC's mid-late '80s albums were underrated classics. Think of them like Seventh Son and SIT. You just have to give them a chance.

Listen to That's The Way I Wanna Rock N Roll, Shake Your Foundations (the Who Made Who remix), and Who Made Who.
I love Flick Of The Switch-Razor's Edge best because they have a harder edge sound to them. I thought their last couple were some of their weakest material ever.

they're latest single Olidale is really good. They're like FOTD. A few gems and the rest is crap

Update:
01. Iron Maiden
02. Iced Earth
03. Megadeth
04. Metallica/Slayer (can't decide)
06. Helloween/Gamma Ray (can't decide)

Top 3? Maiden, Floyd, and Dickinson solo.

Rest from all genres; DT, Symphony X, Collins/Genesis, Beastie Boys, Jean Michel Jarre, Powergoat, Sixto Sounds, Digistorm/Khyron/Cygnes/Extrem/Alien (scene.org), Antonio Vivaldi  :D

UPDATE
Iron Maiden
Rush
Arcade Fire (yes, I know I may get some hate for this one, but I'm not as much a metal guy as an alternative one)

Maiden

In no order:
Ace Frehley
Kiss (early days much moreso)
Sababth
Deep Purple
Metallica
Slayer
Cheap Trick
Jethro Tull
ZZ Top
AC/DC
Aerosmith
Anthrax
Foo Fighters/Crooked Vultures

Wow take out Jethro Tull and AC/DC and you got a lot of my favorite bands. Love the Foo Fighters. Can't wait for the new album.

apart from Maiden, gotta be:

1. Yes
2. Candlemass (Maiden was a gateway band for me to discover them)
3. Counting Crows.

Guess I just like sad, bombastic, and complex music. If you'll permit me a 4th, Rush is on there too :)
