Crap, have I not told you why I chose to be known as Eddie's Wingman?
Well, I am quite interested in aviation history, especially military aviation history, and I wanted a nick that included something Maiden-related. Then I saw the cover picture of Aces High and thought - ahhum, Eddie, a Spitfire ... it's got to be Eddie's Wingman.
(For those of you who don't know what a wingman is; in military flight, it is common that planes fly in pairs, the most experienced pilot typically leading the pair. The wingman is the pilot of the other plane, and his main responsibility is to secure his leader from attacking aircraft. Most often, the leader will be flying in front. One much used formation is called the finger-four; put your right hand at the table, palm down. Then the four planes will be positioned relative to each other like your fingertips (excluding the thumb). The leader will be in the "middle finger" position, his wingman is to the left (index finger), the #3 is in the ring finger position and the #4 in the pinky position. #4 is also #3's wingman.)
