Ever wanted a piece of Ed Force One?

btw i didn't know that the names of the fan club members at the time was written on the plane. my friend just sent me this reddit topic, and you can download the photo in HD (the second photo) and check whether your name is on it or not. Unfortunately this is the half of it, the other half must be somewhere. And I found my name :) suddenly this thing looked less gene simmons-esque hahah

What another plane are they going to scrap?

When I read that, it brought to my mind that bit of the film The Name of the Rose, starring Sean Connery as the Franciscan friar William of Baskerville (superb role in this historical mystery thriller). When his young apprentice, Adso of Melk, shows admiration for a bit of lignum crucis (a fragment of the cross upon on which Jesus Christ died) at the abbey where the action happens, William of Baskerville's response is that if you were to put together all the pieces of wood at different religious institutions that were claimed to be lignum crucis, you would have a big forest!

PlaneTags usually sell bits here and there as they cut various parts of a plane up. I have two for other 747s. I seriously thought about getting a chunk of TF-AAK, but at $66.66 (or was it 66.66 Euros, I cam't remember what they offered) perhaps not. I'll stick to the photo I have of my own name on the plane. :)

Someone posted all of the pictures of the gear doors with the names on the Fan Club forum at the time. Unfortunately, many of them were scraped off when EF1 had that collision with airport vehicle incident.

And some wonder if Maiden could make a profit with a nice DVD edition of the documentary! Of course!

Here the fans have already bought almost all 12000, for 66.66 EUR per piece (not Pounds).
They are made in Germany and shipped from there.

There are more variants coming soon, like gold and with rivet holes.

I bought one. It arrived tonight, along with an exclusive interview with Bruce in a nice booklet. It was way too much money, but I love it all the same.
