I do really love their cover! Good way of modernizing a song without making it sound idiotic.
The video is idiotic though.
Howard Jones has just the right sort of voice for the song. He's very underrated as a vocalist, probably due to the sort of music he's chosen to make. I know a lot of "traditional Metal elitists" get really upset about that cover, but that's probably because it's great and they can't accept it.
That was beatiful! It's been 10 years since my last Holy Diver cover video, figured it was a good time to update! Crossposting here for posterity.

It's such a cool album. Definitely not my favorite (or as good as Lock Up The Wolves), but still really cool and dark.I just heard Strange Highways for the first time and it blew me away. Such a dark and heavy album with phenomenal vocals and guitar work. Definitely my favorite Dio album at this point. There are a couple that I haven't yet heard but it's unlikely that they can reach a level this high.
So work is playing Dio all day? Got it.11 years gone. I’ll be working today, but if you wanna enjoy 6 hours of some of my favorite Dio tracks, here ya go:
Taproom is still closed, which means no one can really hear the music we’re blasting behind the plexiglass. I pity my coworkers. So work is playing Dio all day? Got it.
@Detective Beauregard and I will be seeing it for sure!I mean, I figure we all know about this already, right? But I don't see any posts about it in this thread, so, just in case...
FYI, this is happening:
I went to see it with my friend and it was definitely very good. Informative, touching, and funny too.Saw the documentary yesterday and holy hell: it is so well done! I highly recommend finding a way to see it. The whole thing is thoroughly interesting, entertaining, and poignant. What a legend.
Where is it available?
Seems like it was in limited engagement in various parts of the country on different dates? I saw it on Sunday.I thought it was only for one day?
