After one listen!

Wildest Dreams - 6,5
Rainmaker - 8
No More Lies - 6,5
Montségur - 9
Dance of Death - 4
Gates of Tomorrow - 6,5
New Frontier - 7,5
Paschendale - 6,5
Face in the Sand - 5
Age of Innocence - 7
Journeyman - 6,5

Two standout songs, Rainmaker, although a bit commercial and more hard-rock than metal, I really like it. And Montségur, this is a wellwritten power metal song, it's very energetic and not overlong (wow!).
The rest is kinda average, and some songs are total dissapointments - Dance of Death, what the hell?

Those ratings would make a 6,63 rating overall. So that's a 7.

Totally IMO of course, I think the album is the best since Powerslave.
 
I'm gonna run down to the record store in a little while and buy it....

One of my best good friend's, he thinks the album comes out tomorrow, I will have to go suprise him with it !

I'm gonna get my copy tomorrow in the morning, just before going to work.

Then I think I can evaluate each song...
 
I got my copy some days ago and i think it rocks!!!
sure some songs are a little different from other maiden songs, BUT they are very good tough. All the songs are very well written and the strings are very nice with the rest of the music.

not the best album but better than some!

I love Age of Innocence and Journeyman, simply beautiful. Did not like Montsegur, it was too full on, to be really harsh it sounded like something from Metallica's St. Anger album, too raw for my liking. Its Maiden's best album since 7th Son in my opinon. Brave New World was brilliant and all and this is a great followup from that, it shows Maiden is back to the Mid-80s era of Metal. Yeah, Journeyman is simply amazing. People here can't believe that a heavy metal band can put out such beautiful music.

Hehe, this from the same chick that called me a Satanist last year while I was playing D&D and wearing my No Prayer T-Shirt.

I went to the record store today (I walked 57 city blocks from my girlfriends house which comes out to about 4 miles...) and they said they didn't even get any copies in today. It was at a Tower Records too (The 2nd one ever built.) and so I was semi-pissed off. I was going to buy 'Visions of the Beast' but then changed my mind. I ended up buying the new Johnny Cash album, I listened to it, and almost cried, it is really good. I will find that Maiden album tomorrow, me and a friend are going to trek across the city (on foot) and find two copies...
 
Now Dance of Dance is really the worst Maiden output ever.
The isn't one good idea on the whole Album. It basically just the X-Factor with Bruce singing to it. No more Lies ?! Now what is that ? Dance of Death ? Both sound like freaking bad versions of Blood Brothers, which I also do not like. What is the purpose of fucking STRINGS in METAL anyway ?!? The short tunes have probably the weakest choruses Maiden ever recorded. Perhaps with the exception of rainmaker. Now that chorus is exactly "Believe in me" from Lenny Kravitz. I always defended Maiden when it came to the usual "Oh man, Maiden are always repeating themselves" discussions. Well in my opinion this was not the case till Dance of Death. There is no song on this album I'd prefer to ANY other song by Maiden. On NPFTD you had at least 4-5 really cool songs. On DoD there's none, therefore every song is too long. Worst one ever. Even worse than the silly cover. Pathetic, pretentious and BORING CRAP. R.I.P. no life after DoD.
