But they'd have to rehearse every single song they've ever written; some of which Janick or H, for example, might never have played...
I highly doubt that. Especially when they were written and recorded over thirty years.

Not if there's a specific list of songs. If Maiden make a number of set lists before the tour, then the band can learn them and rehearse before the tour gets going. This way, they can learn the songs they haven't played, while refreshing themselves with better known ones......if that makes sense?
