My votes:

Aretha is good, but The Who has been a top 10 band for me since I was 15. Baba O'Riley
Not a huge fan of either in the second pair. I Shot The Sheriff
For most of my life I would have picked Steve Miller in the 3rd, but I've gotten really tired of that particular Miller song now. Go Your Own Way
I love the bass lick at the end of The Chain, but not vs Randy. Crazy Train

I love "Respect", but I have to go with The Who here.
Clapton, though I don't really care for that particular song.
And Fleetwood Mac in both pairs.

The Who edges out a great Aretha song, a mediocre Foreigner song is better than Eric Clapton's lame Bob Marley cover, and Fleetwood Mac beats Steve Miller but not Randy Rhoads.

My votes:

Great Doors song, but the other is too epic to vote against. Layla
I strongly prefer the earlier McCartney song. Maybe I'm Amazed
Another song with "Derek". While My Guitar Gently Weeps
This Hendrix video reminds me that Jimi was just amazing. Foxey Lady

Like both, "Layla" is better.
"Maybe I'm Amazed" is a candidate for McCartney's best solo number.
Beatles and Hendrix, without doubt.

Layla, because it's fucking amazing.
Live and Let Die, because it's fucking great.
...While My Guitar Gently Weeps, because it's a beautiful song (but it was still hard to vote against Steve Miller).
Foxey Lady, because I don't really love either, but Jimi plays some cool stuff.
