Classic Rock Clue Game II

That's it, you nailed:
482: Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters — Elton John
486: Metallica — Unforgiven

Which means 485 has to be...
Turn the Page — Bob Seger

Standard-bearer for the punk revolution. (+2 to Albie, +1 to nush)
@Albie: I meant the punk musical revolution, not any political revolution.
#490. The Sex Pistols, "Anarchy In The U.K."

Where a pastry chef lives. (3)
#489. Gerry Rafferty, "Baker Street"

An opthamologist might hear this. (+2 to mckindog, +1 to nush)
#488. Jackson Browne, "Doctor My Eyes"

Verb a state. (1)
#487. Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Californication"

First of a trilogy. (+2 to nush)
#486. Metallica, "The Unforgiven"

The #486 artist covered this song. (+3 to nush)
#485. Thin Lizzy, "Whisky In The Jar"

South Dakota. (+2 to mckindog, +1 to nush)
#484. Bruce Springsteen, "Badlands"

Cerulean footwear. (+2 to Shadow, +1 to nush, +0.5 to mckindog)
mckindog loses half a point for specifying Elvis. Shoulda just typed the title and left it... :P
#483. Carl Perkins, "Blue Suede Shoes"

Paintings and lunatics. (+3 to nush)
#482. Elton John, "Mona Lisas And Mad Hatters"

The Orient Express was one. (4)
#481. Elvis Presley, "Mystery Train"

Standings:
nush - 12
mckindog - 4.5
Albie - 2
Shadow - 2

So nush sits out next round, gives someone else a chance to catch up. (The dreaded cornfedhick rule!)

Next group:
#480. 12:17am (1)

#471. Percussion person. (1)  - Piano Man by Billy Joel or Mr. Tambourine Man, by either Bob Dylan or The Byrds

#480. Judas Priest - Living After Midnight
#478. Rock Around the Clock
#474. Shake, Rattle And Roll
#471. Mr. Tambourine Man

I think cornfedhick has got alot of these already.

One song per clue, cfh. Make some choices on some of those. :devil2:

Unknown One and others: it doesn't matter if someone else gets it first. You can still get points for every correct clue, so you might as well post it yourself too.

I obviously misunderstood.  Will edit.

I thought you could guess as many times as you like?

Sorry, I was unclear. What I meant was, you can guess for all 10 clues, even if you think some are already answered correctly. I wasn't even thinking about multiple songs guessed for a single clue when I said that.

Gotcha- and that makes sense, otherwise we'd all have 50 guesses!  Thanks for clearing that up.

I really should of got that one. It has been played a lot recently since Rafferty's death.

#473. Siblings. (2) Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits (though I think this could be higher).
Actually, scrub that guess as I do think if that is in the list, it will be much higher. So...

He's My Brother - The Hollies.

Ah ok, I'll keep that in mind for the future then.

12:17am (1)
Living After Midnight is a good guess. There is metal in the list, here and there. But not here. :ninja:
#480. Wilson Pickett, "In The Midnight Hour"

Just like in The Godfather, when Michael kills Solozzo. (3)
cfh was on the right track...
#479. Billy Joel, "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant"

The original Happy Days theme song. (+2 to cfh, +1 to Unknown One)
I wanted to make this worth more than 1, but Wikipedia makes things so unfair. :innocent:
#478. Bill Haley & The Comets, "Rock Around The Clock"

All three words in the title begin with the same letter. (3)
Probably wouldn't have helped any if I'd told you they were 3 different words. :smartarse:
#477. The Cult, "She Sells Sanctuary"

Southern Rock one hit wonder. (2)
It was 2 points because I figured everyone's first guess would be Black Betty.
#476. The Outlaws, "Green Grass And High Tides"

Sparrow. (1)
You all fail. I can't make 'em any easier... :P
#475. Billy Joel, "Captain Jack"

Quiver. Make noise. Turn quickly. (+5 to cfh, +2 to Unknown One)
Information was held back: getting the artist right was crucial here. cfh gets full credit plus the bonus for 1st. U1 gets half credit for just the title.
The song title is easy from the clue. The 4 difficulty should have warned you that an obscure artist may be involved.
#474. Big Joe Turner, "Shake, Rattle & Roll"

Siblings. (2)
Albie, you're going to slap yourself ... "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" by The Hollies didn't make the cut. It's at #1581.
#473. Dire Straits, "Brothers In Arms"

John Wayne quote. (+3 to cfh)
From The Searchers.
#472. Buddy Holly & The Crickets, "That'll Be The Day"

Percussion person. (+2 to Unknown One)
cfh did not choose wisely. :D
#471. The Byrds, "Mr. Tamborine Man"

This round:
cfh - 10
Unknown One - 5

Overall:
nush - 12
cfh - 10
Unknown One - 5
mckindog - 4.5
Albie - 2
Shadow - 2

nush is back in, and now cfh sits out a round. Plus, I think my clues are a bit tougher this time...

Next group:
#470. Two phrases that rhyme. (2)
#469. Bon Jovi's "Bad Medicine" is the antidote to this. (1)
#468. Awaiting St. Peter. Get the artist right! (1)
#467. Go directly over there and activate that. (3)
#466. The inventor of the rock guitar solo sings about a lady. (2)
#465. A group I can't bear listening to is telling me to do exactly that. (3)
#464. Contains a rare guitar solo by the rhythm guitarist. (4)
#463. Beavis and Butthead would chuckle at this singer's name. (4)
#462. This artist's name ends with "sex". (3)
#461. The song my father has requested be played at his funeral. (5) (I warned you, 5's are impossible!)

#468: "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by... I'll go with Dylan.
#464: "Master of Puppets" by Metallica.

#468. Knockin' on Heaven's Door - Guns 'n' Roses
#466. Eric Clapton - Lay Down Sally
#464. Metallica - Nothing Else Matters

Damn, too slow on the last one...
..and not too good on this one.
Three for now:

468: Knocking on Heaven's Door — Dylan
466: Maybelline — Chuck Berry
465: Listen to the Music — Doobie Brothers

#462. This artist's name ends with "sex". - David Essex - Rock On not exactly classic rock, but he's the only artist I can think of at the moment that fit the clue.
#468. Awaiting St. Peter. Get the artist right! - Knocking on Heavens Door - Eric Clapton

#468 - "Knockin' On Heavens Door" by Bob Dylan
#464 - "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica
#461 - "Tears In Heaven" by Eric Clapton (there are 3 songs on my mind about this one. The other two are "The Long And Whining Road" and "Faithfully").

I had a go at these before seeing what others had put, but most have been guessed already:

#470: Led Zeppelin - Good Times, Bad Times
#469: Robert Palmer - Bad Case of Loving You
#468: Bob Dylan - Knockin' on Heaven's Door
#467: -
#466: Chuck Berry - Maybellene
#465: Doobie Brothers - Listen to the Music
#464: Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
#463: -
#462: David Essex - Rock On
#461: Paul McCartney - Live and Let Die

470: Bungle in the Jungle — Tull
469: Robert Palmer — Addicted to Love
463: Badfinger — Day After Day
