Christmas 2010 Thread

Hey guys.

I've been around here for awhile, and I just want to say thanks to you all, for being part of my life these past almost 8 years. I know I've not gotten around to meeting you all in person, and probably, some of you I never will, but this forum has been something special for me.

On Christmas, it's important to remember the people we care about.

Thanks fellows, for being the guys that you are. Here's to Maidenfans.

Awwww, LC. That's very kind of you! And we're so glad to be a part of this wonderful site and to have such a great person as yourself here as well! :)

That's pretty nice, LC.

This is a good group of friends-- it just past into the a.m., here, so Merry Christmas to everyone!

Strange, all the time in this thread and still didn't say it... Merry Christmas all!

EDIT: second year in a row Christmas alone, it good to have you guys!

Well said LC, this is indeed a special community.

Having spent last Christmas away from home, it's nice to be back with the whole family this time, plus I'm going to treat myself to a beer or two tonight. Then off to my brother's tomorrow; the racing's been cancelled but I'm sure we'll find other ways to lose a wad of cash.

Wishing everyone a very merry (and metal) Christmas!

Merry Christmas friends! I'm waiting for my family to finish getting dressed, then it's a big breakfast and gift time. Hope all of you are having a good holiday!

That's how my family does things too. We often got calls from the West Coast from family members asking what we'd got, when we hadn't even gotten started opening presents.

A bit late, but merry Christmas from me too.  Doubly so, since I missed last year's Christmas here.

Just last night I was thinking about this very same thing, thank you LC for sharing this, I too want to thank everyone for putting up with my madness for almost 8 years.

My pan-celtic friends celebrate Yule, my Jewish friends just finished celebrating Chanukah, My Muslim friends did/are/will... I don't know celebrate Ramadan... so yeah... Happy Holidays :p

but just for you, Merry Christmas ;)

I understood exactly the spirit. But again I believe we should call things with their names, shameless. I'm not a Christian, yet I enjoy wishing Marry Christmas. (Also going occasionally in a church for a marriage, baptize, or whatever). That's how we call it, Christmas. Now this Yule, I don't know what it is (I suspect it's 21st of December though, not 25th), but if we have holidays, is not because it's Yule, but because it's Christmas. And there is no Muslim or Jewish correspondence, this day. When the pagans manage to be recognized officially and have some holidays, that's fine, happy Yule, a thousand times. But hey, guys, be clever, don't make it the same day with another holiday, ok?  ;)

I enjoy going to temples. When I'm in a church I make my cross, when in a Sikh I wear bandana, when in an Hindu I fall to the floor. Never been in a mosque or a synagogue yet, mosque is not allowed, don't have a clue about synagogues.

So happy Christmas a thousand times!
