Change some of the Maiden setlists

Kalata

Out of the Silent Planet
Well, we were all disappointed with some of the Maiden setlists through the years (omission of key songs or not include a deep cuts)
So, this a thread where we can change the setlist with whom we are disappointed and create our own version of it which we think would have been better.

! the new songs that we are going to add to the setlists (that are not played on the original set/tour), I think we can mark them in bold font.
I think it would be cool to stick to the original count of the songs from the specific tour !

I think we will come up with some interesting and in many ways more entertaining setlists than the ones chosen by Maiden :)

I will start with the No Prayer On The Road tour 1990/1991:

1.Tailgunner
2.Holy Smoke
3.Wrathchild
4.22 Acacia Avenue
5.Die With Your Boots On (or a song from the SIT album)
6.Hallowed Be Thy Name
7.Killers
8.Mother Russia
9.Prowler
10.No Prayer For The Dying
11.The Clairvoyant
12.The Trooper
13.2 Minutes To Midnight
14.Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter
15.Iron Maiden
16.The Number Of The Beast
Encore:
17.Run To The Hills
18.Running Free
19.Sanctuary

If I should add another song from the NPFTD album - it would be The Assassin (on the DWYBO place)

I added more songs from the first 2 albums, because on the NPFTD album Maiden returned to the more rough sound, ''street sound'' and the songs are thematic to this change. With little changes I managed to make the setlist better, because all of the Maiden's setlists in the 90's are less exciting and predictable (though, I kept the hit songs) ! I don't add a song from the SIT album bcause it's not suits the rough sound that they have on that time (with all the synthesizers).

I would like to see Maiden to create their setlists around themes :) A simple example of that is: on TFF tour the should had played Caught Somewhere In Time, because the album theme is space and time...

Ok then (seems similar to the existing create-a-setlist thread, but whatever)

AMOLAD 2007

1. Different World
2. These Colours Don't Run
3. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
4. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
5. The Trooper
6. The Longest Day
7. Reincarnation of Benny Breeg
8. For the Greater Good of God
9. Blood Brothers
10. Passchendaele
11. Fear of the Dark
12. Iron Maiden

13. Tailgunner
14. Two Minutes to Midnight
15. Hallowed

I think the theme is pretty self-explanatory

Great, especially the inclusion of ATSS, Paschendale and Tailgunner :ok: Maybe I will shake up the setlist a little more... ;)

Not really, because in this thread we can change some of the songs of a specific setlist, without change the number of the songs in it ! This is more clarified :)

What if you are replacing 13+ minute songs?

Well, go and replace them ! The idea was to make the setlists that we are going to change more good (by our own perspective) without changing the number of the songs - it's a challenge, isn't it ? :) | But it looks like some people don't keep up to the rules...

Death on the Road 2004:

1. Wildest Dreams

11. Fear of the Dark
12. Hallowed
13. Iron Maiden

Montsegur and Transylvania would fit well with the castle-themed stage set, while the other two would be GMETID carry-overs

I'm going to spare you all yet another list, but I will say that of all their recent setlists, Final Frontier 2011 had the most room for improvement IMO. One more Final Frontier song would've been good or maybe a couple more leftovers from the 2010 leg. It seemed like they were playing it safe on that leg compared to the previous one, probably at least partly because it was on Ed Force One and they were playing a lot of new territories again.
