Bruce Dickinson

No set changes during the recent shows. Bruce only added an extra intro with the theremin for Shadow - which I don't think fits at all.

They also celebrated Chris's birthday the other day. Nice.
I think this run of dates all the songs are placed to fit the flow of the show where he doesn't feel the need to mess with it. Starchildren seemed to be played night one as that was the second time he's played Anaheim so I guess he wanted to add a different song to close lol

I really enjoyed the show last night. Band was having fun amd quite good. Bruce sounded great and it fantastic hearing these songs live again. I seriously hope he tours more solo

He did mention the next album coming in 2027 that they are recording in a studio with the band and said release 2027 the tri-centenial of William Blake's death.. not sure if that is a hint.

Do you think this is true or doe you think he just does not share his secrets and prefers to appear as a pure natural talent?

Well, he doe say that he is trying to sing with as much sound technique as he can.

Which is like, the number one thing aside from sleeping and drinking water. "Yeah, I'm not doing anything other than making sure I do everything with (massive) skill and I don't damage my body by partying and sleeping three hours a day".

So there’s a chance that a new take on Skunkworks could elevate those songs to new—maybe even more metal—heights?
There’s always a chance, though I assume they’ll try to stay true to the spirit of the original, and I wouldn’t expect anything on the level of MBTP’s changes.

I’d like to hear some adjustments to the mids and highs (the album has always had a tinny top end to my ears) without losing any of the wonderfully fat bass feel.

Good call about Starchildren and no need to change the flow, but what was wrong with last year's flow of the set?
not sure if that is a hint.
I expect the new album to be heavier than TMP. Other than that, who knows, lyrics-wise too.
He promised a SW song this year too. His solo show is not an ordinary metal show, it is multidimensional. He also gave advise that I think explains his current solo direction: ''Do want you want to do and like, not what people like''.
Sounds like confirmation that they did more to Skunkworks than just a straight Atmos remix, but didn’t add new musical parts.
Really? Where? No changes like MBTP and it will be heavier.
Thanks for sharing. So that's Part 1, nice. Overall an informative interview about his solo career.

For the first time since the 90's, I think he mentioned that Tears Of The Dragon started in 1986. He's not sure that the ''lost'' Keith Olsen album is really lost, it's in bits and bobs all over the place.

He also said about Eddie Casillas: ''he come up with amazing bass lines and sounds. Roy gets a lot of credit, fair enough he did some great solos and everything, but not enough credit goes to Eddie.''

More:
He and Janick made ''Bring Your Daughter'' as a fun really and very fast. Like the album. They wanted different rock styles, including hair metal.

Bruce called ''Born In '58'' a gem, one of his favorites, and it was one of Janick's songs he thought he probably wouldn't like.

TM wasn't really a solo album for him, it wasn't a statement, emotionally too, it was a fun record made in 2 weeks.

Rod suggested Keith Olsen to him.

He loves Coverdale's Whitesnake.

He called Tribe Of Gypsies an incredible band.

Right from the start he clicked with Roy, songwriting, riffs and soulful playing (which he wanted). They wrote 3-4 songs in a day.

He said that Dicky Flizar is a fabulous drummer. He had a big impact on Tears, after its different versions. He loves musical drummers.

''Tears Of The Dragon was like a hit, and is in Brazil''.

Rod doesn't like Tears' reggae bit at all. But he likes it because it's different, unexpected and it takes you somewhere else. Like a dream world. True.

BTP is a very important album for him. The record company was expecting a TM 2.0.

He again praised SW and said that some of the stuff in it is so great.

He said the point of a solo career is to have and try different styles.

I wonder if Nicko will be at Bruce's show in Florida on the 7th? That would be cool. It would quell speculation that there's any sort of bad blood I would think. (Personally I don't think there is regardless)
It is interesting, however if he will not be there some may read too much into this and say that since Nico wasn't there there is some sort of bad blood between them.
