I don't like this approach at all. It makes no sense to me.
I want to hear rare/never played Maiden songs played by Maiden.
If he additionally wants to tour his solo music, then he should play (rare/never played) Bruce Dickinson songs.

Aggreed.

True that!!! So what I meant was if maiden retire, this guy will go on and on.

I wonder if this is really logical. Yes, Bruce is very energetic, but also Maiden. You could see it on stage, but Bruce also confirmed in an interview that they had much fun on tour.
It is still assumed that Maiden will soon slow down and retire, while Bruce is just getting started with his solo carreer.

I guess we’d better start chasing Steve and Bruce’s wives.
“Madam, please tell your husband on the upcoming tour to play Infinite Dreams.”
“What?”
“Infinite Dreams, please.”
“In your dreams!”
“No, not my dreams—Infinite Dreams!”
“Keep dreaming!”
“No, I’m keeping my faith that your husband will play Infinite Dreams someday.”
“Whatever!”
“I don’t know this song. He should play Infinite Dreams instead, please.”
“Moron!”
“Nice to meet you, ma’am.”
"Idiot!"
“I’ll add that to my résumé.”

I can see your point, but if Bruce is playing one Maiden song in the set, I very much like that it's an extremely rare one. Of course it would be cool if Maiden did surprises like that, but... In the end, it's just one song in the set. They'll most likely do Revelations and possibly one other too, but I've understood it'll be a maximum of one Maiden song in the set and that spot has some rotation.

If he additionally wants to tour his solo music, then he should play (rare/never played) Bruce Dickinson songs.

Before last year, it was 22 years since his last solo stint live, so the definition of a rare (as far as the setlists are concerned) Bruce Dickinson song isn't all that straightforward, but I'd argue that e.g playing Gods of War, Starchildren and Faith in this Mandrake Project tour 2024-25 for the first time after their representative album tours in 1995-97 and live debuting The Alchemist 26 years after the initial Chemical Wedding album release & tour (1998/1999) is exactly what you're suggesting he should do.

I’ve also critized Maiden for barely touching deep cuts on some tours, especially this current one. But for a band like Maiden, with such a huge mainstream crowd, it makes total sense that at least 80% of the set is classics and hits. That just doesn’t leave much room for deep cuts. And honestly, time is running out — who knows how many tours are left. So it’s pretty awesome that Bruce is digging into songs with his own stamp on them, ones they’ve never played before. Hopefully Adrian (Juanita, Sea of Madness??) and Steve (Prodigal Son?) get on the same page and dust off some of those rare gems too. Of course, the ideal case would be Maiden going on tour and just ripping through all the deep cuts they’ve never played or rarely played, and call the tour Infinite Dreams and the Prophecies :D

 I am afraid we need a bit more sly plan here.

But at least Bruce lets us always know lately where to complain if we don't like some decisions, like Sonata, rare Maiden songs...

One more new record and deep cuts its what its left to do. Since 1999 they have revisited very well all their albums. And maybe a tour from 1995 to now or from 2000 to now. They have very good songs and make an awesome setlist

Last song of the setlist was changed - Starchildren out, The Tower in. Otherwise setlist was the same.
Expected and needed change.
Bruce is heading - finally - towards a commercially viable solo career.
Yeah, he just announced his TikTok channel (wow!) with stuff from the tour and regularly posts short footage from most of the shows.

At the end of the first night, he said that by the end of the tour, the crowds will learn the songs.

Normally I would agree, but since Maiden will never play some of the songs (plus they have big hits, so it's normal), and it's not the band - more rare Maiden/songs, please. It's an awesome bonus. I welcome every rare song, regardless if it is my favorite or not. And it's a one song for rotating after all.

He is playing rare solo songs, actually all of them after so many years, and with every tour the chance is there. 7 albums isn't that much for surprises when you think about it. If we have to be specific for the current tour: Alchemist, Starchildren, Faith, Gods Of War, every TOS song, Jerusalem.

I've said that I think the tour should be called Eddie's Oddities

Kill devil hill, silver wings, broken, some of the skunkworks.... and king in crimson and thrumpets for me the 2 big forgotten.

I actually don't care about Flash of the Blade. Yes, it is rare song, but it does nothing for me. So, I am totally fine that Maiden hasn't played it live before nor will they ever play it.
About changing setlist, I remember I was disappointed that Bruce didn't play Jerusalem at my show. Also, now that they played Shadow of the Gods, it's kinda sad to miss that one. So, please no rotating setlist.

Bruce with much better vocals for Flash Of The Blade the second night. Just amazing! The studio chorus vocals are insanely high, but this is current Reunion Bruce at the top. No video screen for it like Tears.

That’s more like it! :edmetal::edmetal:

Get rid of the keyboards and it would be even better.
