Bruce Dickinson

I think Bruce was involved in the business world too much during the 2000s. He tried to build his own aviation company and was like a CEO in his non-Maiden life. I think now he knows what he’s best at and what truly makes him happy… and he’s working at full speed to make up for the time he -kind of- lost. Which is good for us! He'll never leave Maiden, come on :)

He does still own Caerdav and is Chairman I think. Not sure how often he is there on a day to day basis. But he loves aviation as much as music.

He has a finger in alot of pies!

So, the Iron Maiden song that hasn't been played before was Flash of the Blade.
Expected. It seems Bruce won't play a co-written Maiden song during his solo shows.

I always thought this is a good live song because it's power metal-esque. I like how the harmonies and the extra keys sound for it. They oddly fit. Like in Rain. Bruce has backing vocals for the chorus, but he realizes it's too high. Like Aces. He said ''ohh'' at the end. Still it doesn't sound as rough as Aces. It's rather very nice and good, and especially now. Kudos Bruce! It would have been tough live even back then. Good work from the rest of the band too.

The setlist for the 1st night was odd. The band is flexible though.

14 songs without the cover and the Drum Solo.
-no Aquarius
-no Tower, wow
-no Navigate(!nooo)
-no Afterglow (whyy, the lead single... I guess because of Shadow and because the other 2 TMP songs are more fun for them)
-Shadow early in the set
-Gods Of War and Starchildren in the encore (the latter???)
-the Maiden song eats 1 solo spot (the Drum Solo too, or?)

3 AOB songs, 3 BTP songs, 3 TCW songs, 3 TMP songs, 1 TOS, 2 covers and 1 live solo.

For me: Aquarius, Tower, Navigate are essential for this tour. Also Afterglow, which I prefer to Rain or Resurrection Men.

So - SW songs, more BTP songs and more AOB/TOS for rotation? Starchildren for sure. TM is forgotten, idk why.

What were the 2 Taiko drums for? Were they used? For later? Or for the new album?

That song should be played instead of Aces High on current Maiden tour!
Yeah, but it's not more popular, the album has insane vocals. The song fits Bruce's solo show really well. And Steve is not a fan of it, iirc. He is the boss. I know with a big band with hits like Maiden is different, but maybe Steve doesn't want to play that many different old songs live. Bruce and Nicko want.
That song single handedly made Bruce’s setlist better than Maidens :D
1 shouldn't be enough, but I can't afford to argue.

Just watched the Flash of the Blade video. That fucking crowd was beyond pathetic—I actually felt offended. Holding up all those phones is so tone-deaf. It’s like, “yeah, keep doing your thing, I’m just gonna record the whole show.” I can completely imagine how that must feel for the artist. Instead of immersing themselves in the experience and exchanging energy, the crowd makes it feel like he’s taking some sort of exam—or worse, like he’s an exhibit at the zoo. We, the people, can be so damn stupid.

Yeah, dropping Aquarius and The Tower isn’t cool. Those are some of his best songs.

Is the first show but the tower darkside and book of thel in the same show and at the end of it was a bit hard form him nowadays. I think he will play 2 of those 3 songs changing them
