I have the impression that most of the criticisms of keytars etc. are a projection of one's own insecurities.

It puzzles me how anybody would think that keytars have special "sonic" or "musical" qualities. The keytar has ZERO special sonic qualities. It's just a standard synthesizer stuck on a silly plastic toy. Nobody would ever play it because of its musicality.

And there are plenty of other great keytar solo´s to find on YT.

Somewone will say that it's silly music but it is serious and god forbid anything other than guitar, bass and drums.

I love the fact that the guitarists replicated the original solos as faithfully as they could. It reminds me of when my mates and I were growing up and we would transcribed classic solos note for note. What a great tribute to Davey and H.

If Bruce releases a live concert video from his solo live comeback (TMP tour and the band deserves it), I guess it should be this or early next year, but since he said they might release some live songs next year, I kind of doubt it now. It would be odd not to, right. What about his idea to release the Sao Paulo show... maybe he can't decide between the 2 legs' cool sets, or wants it to be from the next tour, where they'll be playing their own material. No proper live song so far, just 2 streams (not full shows) and Ragnarok from a festival, also odd.

Why not now? He released one in 1991 and 2 (not full ones) from SW and TCW tours. There was a lot of buzz around the tour and album, why not culminating it. New album sooner is the next right step.

Because i think there was no whole show that he was great. He ended the shows with very dificult songs

That's a logical interpretation too, so we'll see... Given Bruce's earlier output and the recent Balls to Picasso reimagining, however I'm quite confident that they want the album to sound sonically great too and there will be some polishing touches etc.

But yeah, it remains to be seen!

In "Talk is Jericho", Bruce explains it like this:

"We’re doing it, everybody on the floor, with the intention of keeping it all. Not with, ‘Oh, we’re gonna do it, everybody on the floor, and then we’re gonna keep the drums and re-record everything.’ No! The idea is, we’re gonna keep it all. Only if it really stinks will we redo it.”

I don't think they fit in with the others, especially Nicko. I wonder who came up with that idea?

In this interview - Bruce said that his new album might contain and song co-written by his son. He praised his songwriting skills and said that he just needs to add lyrics.

I hope his son doesn't play a huge role. I can not believe he has better songwriting skills than the experienced musicians and producers in Bruces band.
