Bruce Dickinson

My favourite one (out of the UK ones) is the original Trooper, followed by The Red and the Black. Fear of the Dark is nice, Trooper IPA is good, Hallowed is good too and Trooper 666 was not as good as it could have been (not sure a stronger Trooper really worked). The weakest one for me is, by far, Light Brigade.

I pretty much agree! The og. Trooper is very good and I really like The Red and the Black; a very pleasant, rich flavour. Fear of the Dark and Hallowed are both very solid on their own category too and have enough unique qualities to be picked up for the beers' sake and not just because it's an Iron Maiden product. Well, I wouldn't say these all are superior to other beers of the same type and/or price point or anything, but I think most Trooper beers are fairly good anyway.

The Trooper EU shop offers some good bargains often enough, so it's not  that expensive either when compared to any beer in a glass bottle you can find from markets around here in Finland. I'd say the best Trooper beers are rather great and even the weakest are... average. Pricey for what they are, sure, but far from being abomination of a drink. I agree that the Light Brigade wasn't too impressive, though.

Overall, I think that The Trooper beer (Robinsos anyway) has been a win-win product for every party as the product seems to sell fairly well and it's actually quite good and fun for a Maiden-fan consumer to get. I honestly like them and it's fun to have those cool bottles (and bottle caps...) available at home. Always a fun curiosity to serve some to guests too :)

I think they have lost the plot and what started as a nice collaboration with an independent brewery has quickly turned into a gimmick.

I think that's just the nature of craft beer in general. Individual breweries pumping out tons of different beers that seem to be more about marketing and packaging than their being a huge amount of taste variations in the beers. Robinson's don't seem to have an over the top amount of beers compared to many of the other craft breweries, and it's no surprise that they go back to Maiden branding as that's what's done well for them.

I liked all the beers I've tried, but the original is far and away the best of what I've tried, which were the original, trooper 666, hallowed and the red and the black. I never saw any of the others in Ireland, and the original hasn't even been available for a few years.

I have absolutely no clue on that, but I hope before the end of the year...

However, we'll get some Jon Lord tribute Orchestra dates soon! I think Bruce mentioned earlier that doing some Maiden tunes with that project isn't totally out of the question, but we'll see about that. Anyway, I try to get into one of those shows!

The announcement is delayed it seems... but this website mentions 4 Brazilian dates to be officialised soon.

According to this, there would be shows in Sao Paulo (14th April), Curitiba (19th April), Rio (21st April) and Porto Alegre (25th April).

It might end up replacing the never ending book tour!

At least it would be singing instead of talking bollocks (I hope!).
Have to mention that Bob Dylan had tour named "Never Ending Tour" which started in June 7, 1988. It had 3066 dates and the last show was in December 8, 2019. He was dismissive of the whole name as explained here:

Me too, but my bet is: late next year (after Maiden's album tour).

Hey, the acapella performances are cool. I expect he will continue with his book tour anyway.

This means Maiden's album tour will probably start after those shows (in May 2023)? I thought it would be earlier.

I do not expect Maiden to tour before the end of May at the earliest. Apparently British Lion will be touring early in 2023.

This. And given the intensity and sheer amount of dates on this year's tour, a proper break probably doesn't hurt. Well, Steve and Bruce will be doing other stuff on stage, but anyway...

What actually is the status of an upcoming Bruce solo album? There was a lot of vibe going on a while ago but then things turned into silence. Have to admit I haven't followed the path about his new release, so could someone give an update on that? What do you think when to expect something? Thanks so much!
