Yup, that's last tour he did. "Air raid over Europe", in support of his "Best Of Bruce Dickinson" release.

That was an awesome setlist (Silver Wings! *drool*) and an interesting line-up (including two guys from Skunkworks).

If I remember well that tour was just a few dates unfortunately.

Bruce Dickinson with Ian Anderson & band - Revelations (G. K. Chesterton) (quite a different sounding version!)

@Canterbury Rocks at Christmas 10 Dec 2011

Bruce is having lots of fun with Ian!  :edmetal:

Comment from the uploader:

This is a part of the anthem written by G. K. Chesterton in 1906, which, of course, was the inspiration for Bruce to write the lyrics to Iron Maiden's "Revelations". It was the first song Bruce performed at the Canterbury Rocks at Christmas concert. The cut part was sung without a microphone and was truly an unforgettable, spine chilling, hair raising, breath taking, truly Dickinsonian moment. I hope someone recorded it. Can't say that the part I captured was any worse though - after all - it's Bruce Dickinson.

O God of earth and altar, bow down and hear our cry,
Our earthly rulers falter, our people drift and die;
The walls of gold entomb us, the swords of scorn divide;
Take not Thy thunder from us, but take away our pride.

From all that terror teaches, from lies of tongue and pen,
From all the easy speeches that comfort cruel men;
From sale and profanation of honor and the sword;
From sleep and from damnation, deliver us, good Lord!

Tie in a living tether, the prince and priest and thrall;
Bind all our lives together, smite us and save us all;
In ire and exultation aflame with faith and free,
Lift up a living nation, a single sword to Thee.

Missed the beginning, when Justin performed the first verse but this is the rest of 'Locomotive Breath' with Bruce Dickinson and Ian Anderson. You can see they hadn't had much time to rehearse, having to read the words as they went along and watch each other to see who should be doing what. Great fun in a beautiful setting..

Incredibly funny, the way Bruce fights with the mic wire (to get it off a.s.a.p.) but then he starts too early! :)

re: Bruce Dickinson with Ian Anderson - Jerusalem (Canterbury Cathedral 10 Dec)

Thanks Jonszat!  Love it!

:ok:

Wow, what a great performance!

A Bruce solo tour has been long overdue, don't you agree?

Hi everyone,

I recorded audio of this whole spectacular show. Has anyone got any tips for converting 3ga to mp3. I recorded on my phone you see.
