@Foro
All of this stuff is bang on. These are elite tracks for exactly the reasons you point out.
But they are up against the awesome Breeding House and the epic Tears. I'm still shaking my head about how the latter missed the top 10 in the last Bruce Survivor and would like to correct that injustice.
But I still haven't decided how I'm going to vote at crunch time.
Like I said above, I'd like to see a number of these move on.
Next round it's time to promote the Millionnaire songs.
Better yet, dump the bottom five and move on to Skunkworks.

Well then, after No Way Out To Be Continued will be gone, it looks like we find each other in the best remaining 4 Balls to Picasso era tracks!

Darkness Be My Friend (9), Gods of War (8), Laughing in the Hiding Bush (6), Shoot All the Clowns (9), No Way Out... To Be Continued (8) are eliminated.

Skunkworks has joined the battle!

All the bonus tracks that aren't Rescue Day and Re-Entry. Most of those are just novelty tunes anyway.

Shame that No Way Out is already gone. :( At least we still have The Breeding House.

Shame both No Way Outs are gone.
This round will be easier - all the Skunkworks bonus tracks.

I really, really like Skunkworks. A lot of people think it is the weakest Bruce album (they're wrong, Balls to Picasso is) but I think all the tracks on the main run just kill. Different, but really good.

I like Skunkworks. The best songs on it stand with the best work Bruce has done, and the overall direction of the album is interesting.
It just doesnt have the depth of good songs.

On Skunkworks we hear a very motivated, passionate Bruce. Whatever the outcome (lack of success), this record was a big thing for him while making it, and that's certainly audible. It might need some more time to get into, but it contains one of my favourite Bruce songs, namely "Back From the Edge".

Actually this song has the best vocals and most touching lyrics I have ever heard of him.
Especially this melancholic (but determined!) part, with the harmonic guitars underneath, I find fantastic:

Now and then I wonder where the faces from my childhood have gone
Like father, like son in your bones it lives on glowing shadows

..then the solo and the pulsing music are heading us to the brilliant vocal canon and harmonies..

Back from the Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedge!!
:notworthy:

Amen to that. It will be a very long time before this one will be getting a vote from me.

Skunkworks is definitely an interesting one. I love how adventurous Bruce's early solo career was. A bit of a shame that none of it really worked out for him. But on the other hand, we got Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding as a result.

There are some really awesome songs on here, and also some really poor songs. Choosing what to vote for will be pretty easy. For now it will be all bonus songs.

Skunkworks is my favorite album of all-time. The lyrics are so biting. These are the angriest lyrics Bruce has ever penned. It's a very introspective album.

I don't get why you guys are voting for Re-Entry, though. :p

Re-Entry may be the best bonus song, but I still didn't care much for it.

Sorry. I am not the biggest fan of this kind of monotone sing-along folk.
I prefer the humorous songs Americans Are Left Behind & I'm in a Band....

All the Skunkworks B Sides are eliminated.

Faith
I Will Not Accept the Truth
