British Lion 2013 Tour

I'm hoping she'll get me it as a birthday present since the gig is on my birthday.

King Tuts is an absolute shithole and I've no idea why it's so popular. I saw Iced Earth there in August and didn't like the venue at all. If the Garage sells out I guess the gig could get upgraded to a slightly bigger venue.

People just love it because it's tiny, & you can literally talk to who's on stage between songs. Only ever been in the place twice though. Yeh, you're right --The Garage is definitely a far better venue. I hope they keep it where it is, so I can go out before & after... (although not to The Garage, obviously!)

Not a fan of Sauciehall Street CWBL? :P

I frakking love the Garage for gigs. My first ever gig was there, Bullet for my Valentine in 2005. I'm not a fan anymore but it was a great experience. Since then I think I've been four times including Testament and Sabaton gigs, but I was a bit gutted that Testament played there in November and I had to go to the Wolverhampton gig (which was awesome, but I'd have rather been able to go to the Glasgow gig).

When I was a student back in the late nineties I genuinely don't recall there being gigs there. I think there had been (in the past), but not when I was at Uni in my first few years (--I'm probably wrong tho'!) Then they just started doing gigs there (or I just started noticing!), & I was like: Metal gigs at The Garage? --what the hell is going on? That only happens at The Cathouse. What with The Garage basically being a student piss-up pop-tastic nonsense Glasgow student union, masquerading as a club"! Hehe. I love Sauciehall Street! Just don't think I'd quite fit into the usual Garage Friday/Saturday crowd. What with being 20+! :D

Hmm, the Manchester venue is a student union too, I think. I look forward to being possibly the second oldest person there

^I didn't want to say that! Third oldest, then, after the BF, I don't know how old the rest of the band are

The Garage (in Glasgow, Scotland) isn't actually a student union --I just jokingly meant it always felt like one (i.e. the nonsense that you could get away with at your own student union --you could pretty much get away with there too). Either way, for gigs, it's full of all sorts; & I'm sure there'll be plenty of old duffers out to see old Steveyboy. Anyway, since this means shit-all to those not from Scotland, I'll stop talking about the place now...

I've been listening to the album quite a bit & have to say I'm really looking forward to hearing it live. I think it will be pretty damn good.

“The reaction to the album has been really good so it’s great to have the opportunity to get out and do these shows. I think it will sound great live and we’re all planning to have a lot of fun on this tour.”

My experience from reading music media for year has taught me that any reaction other than "overwhelming","incredible", "fantastic" or even "great" is a poor reaction.

The reaction to the album has been "very good" and that's why they are going to play in venues fit for 200 people? Yeah, sure.

Suppose it'd only been "good". I bet he'd be playing my place then.
