Knickerbocker, you voted for almost or even every song from the Tony Martin-era, since the moment they came in, but may I ask: did you actually take a good listen? Never a comment, never any hint of distinguishment between any of these songs, so I feel it looks like you're just being anti, in an almost autistic manner. Your constant one-way-direction-voting did not show any appreciation/investment for at least 5 albums in the discography. Not a word, not even a bad one. Do you "simply" wish to eradicate all of these songs, to the very last one, not even caring for the very best of them?

You in turn could say I am leaning heavily towards Tony Martin era, but I also like lots of songs from other albums (quite some of them have already been eliminated but that's another story ;-). I find that there are better and worse songs with every singer. Of course my voting behaviour looks weird at times, but then I am trying to protect a few of these Martin-era tracks because I really like them and think they deserve better, plus admittedly, sometimes it was done out of protest, when I saw the zillionth round of votes going into a certain direction.

I thought you were often focused on vocalists. Why not this time, in this survivor?
I mean, maybe you are focused on vocalists but in a different way? I wonder how you would appreciate some of this era (or at least how strong the vocals and melodies are) if you would be a bit less focused on Ozzy and Dio, I mean, when you hear other Sabbath. Don't you think that your adoration for singers that you have selected as the best, overshadows any possible interest for material by other singers? It would be a shame if the best blind the rest, because you would miss a lot of (great) music.

He's just copying me! :D

Seriously, Foro, it's called personal preference. Just because my voting habits do not align with how you think others should vote does not mean I am uninformed or voting "autistically" (a word I wouldn't just throw around in accusations on the internet, regardless of how you use the definition in your favor).

I do not particularly love the Tony Martin era of Sabbath. There are some rounds I did not vote on, because I have not heard the songs more than once or twice. "The Shining" and "Headless Cross" are decent songs, but they're not my favorites. And they don't have to be. Because I like what I like. I don't always have the time to describe in full detail why the section from 0:47-0:53 is amazing and exactly why, how, when, where, and what those six seconds mean to me.

I get that you're defending what you like, and you have the right to, but these types of outbursts are uncalled for. This is a game, after all.

Now it's very tough. 3 of these songs get a 9/10 from me. :/

Black Sabbath, Snowblind, Spiral Architect, Sign of the Southern Cross

I admit that I was tempted to vote for Sign of the Southern Cross but I dunno. Black Sabbath might be a possibility though in the future.

Absolutely not voting for Spiral Architect; another song that needs to be in the top ten.

Well I love SBS as an album (it's my #1 Sabbath), but Spiral Architect is only 4th on the album for me.

#2 for me and my #1 is still here too so I wouldn't mind seeing them both in the top ten. :D

I actually discovered SBS thanks to this survivor. Really love it and it could climb to the top for me too. Not sure yet as there's been a lot of new Sabbath for me to digest.
