Second three videos:

Subdivision is a commentary on societal pressure to adopt a certain lifestyle: the "cool" youth culture of a comfortable, mundane suburban existence in a housing subdivision. Anyone who does not conform to these expectations is regarded as an outcast.
I think that the video portrays this very well.

Megadeth for the camera techniques and Red Fang because that's just a damn awesome music video.

I very much agree, but the actual footage of that plot is only about 25% of the video (at most). It's primarily a performance in a black room mixed with a bunch of archival footage of houses.

I happen to like these aspects as well. No overkill. A good balance.
(and the footage of the houses also have to do with it)

Megadeth and Rammstein. I don't like either of the songs, but they're pretty awesome videos.

Iron Maiden have done much better. Red Fang didn't grab me. Rush was a bit dull. Swashbuckle was fun, and he has the right beard for it, but it can't compete with what I voted f0r.

Rammstein and Megadeth tie for first place! (Which suits me, because there was a tie in another group).

Onwards now to Group 6

Voted for the Genesis one (which is legendary and scared the s*** out of me when I was a kid) and Steven Wilson's (which had more care thrown into it than a lot of half-assed TV movies). Nothing else really comes close. Immortal have just your average black metal video (that is, a variation on the Blair Witch Project), Halford with hair feels unnatural and Queen are overrated. Well, at least 80's Queen are. Taylor is actually somewhat pretty in drag, Freddie however could have at least shaved the 'stache. Also the ballet section weirds me out. Don't know whether Muse were trying to actually create avantgarde porn, however they came very close to succeeding. :D

Muse for the elaborate campiness and Steven Wilson because that was a freakin' short film.

Almost went with Genesis, which is equally impressive, but decided on Muse instead. Thank God we had an Immortal video to give us our average black metal dose of standing in front of scenery and pointing cameras at the sky!

I was sure I would be voting for Genesis after watching that video. Then I watched the Muse video. Then I watched the Steven Wilson video.

Land Of Confusion just barely missed the cut, but I would not be the slightest bit disappointed if it ends up advancing.
