Michael Romeo is one of the absolute most technically accomplished Metal guitarists. He matches Petrucci. mtmccox,, have you ever listened to him? Just wondering, as I'm curious as to why you chose him over, say, Wylde.

That's the reason, I don't know him - I choose guys I don't know first, so I can decide later who I like or not. It's a bit unfair - but If he had something to offer to me musically, I think I would know him. So either way he would be out.

He's excellent. He lacks a bit of personality as a guitarist though, to me. I don't hear anything that's truly unique to him. He sounds like a lot of guys (personality is something that Romeo and Petrucci have, along with being technically astonishing). Still a great player (and even that is an understatement. He's just not that unique. At least to me who have only listened to him a slight bit).Forostar said:
