I prefer Petrucci, but I wouldn't be upset if Lifeson advanced instead.

The game turned into a farce when David Gilmour made an early exit anyway.

And I don‘t like The Cheese That Carries On.

I dislike The Spirit Carries On as well, but that song is hardly representative of Petrucci's guitar playing.

Right now Lifeson and Petrucci both have more votes than anyone in the first match. If it holds up, I think they both should advance to the Final, and Blackmore and Iommi should be the ones eliminated.

Can anybody explain why they did not vote for Michael Wilton (@CriedWhenBrucieLeft excluded, since he explained why he does not vote at all)? I have no idea what is special about the guy. Wasn't De Garmo the one with the cool guitar work? What did Wilton do? I begin to feel that his lack of doing anything interesting works in his advantage, As if most people dislike guitar players, or really do like people, but the middle category seems a bit overlooked in some places.

DeGarmo was the more soulful thought out lead player but Wilton is the faster more metal player. Examples from the Operation Mindcrime cd: Speak & Spreading the Disease by Wilton vs Mission and Suite Sister Mary by Degarmo. Both enjoyable but very different lead players
