• If you can stick to metal/rock, that'd be nice. I'll accept some exceptions though. Example: Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode. In my eyes they are more of a rock band than anything else even though only a couple of their songs are rock, if that makes sense.

Why not just say "they're the one pop band that I happen to like" instead of trying to twist and bend them into being a rock band which they clearly are not?
