Very strong music. Fool for the Gods is everything but average and don't sound like any other rock band.

Well naturally I am hoping for good competition vs the Maiden (related) albums!
And I am sure it will happen. I am very excited about this game (the game of games ;-)

Even though it's getting huge, I gotta say I'm enjoying this thread.
Thanks to Vap and Flash and everyone else for organizing the write-in stuff.
I'll reconcile all the feedback when I get home from work tonight. I've got an idea that will smooth the nomination process in future rounds.
Can't wait until we start getting down to the nitty gritty.

And for the record, White Spirit is not in my top 10.
Solo Bruce stuff on the other hand... ;-)

I'd like to retract all my nominations and votes and put them on Samson, White Spirit and Bruce Dickinson. Fighting a loosing battle on this forum anyways

I don't think many of the guys here would list more than five Maiden albums in their Top 10. I only have three of them (SIT, Powerslave, SSOASS) in my Top 10 anyway.

I'm with Sixes, btw. No accounting for taste, I suppose, but any discussion that includes "White Spirit" and "Samson" in the same breath as "best albums ever" is simply ridiculous.

Exile on Main Street, on the other hand... :p

By the way, sorry for mucking up the list earlier, I think Vap edited his post after or at the same time I posted. I'll avoid trying to keep track and leave it in the capable hands of others. On that note, insofar as Revolver still needs another vote to join the fray, I second (or fourth) its nomination. It belongs in this poll.

I move that anyone voting for Linkin Park should be banned from this forum for a month! (Just kidding, but ... I mean ... good lord. What are you people doing??!)

Mckindog: I noticed you put the Wishbone Ash debut album in 1971-1972 but it is from 1970. Maybe it doesn't matter because it has much concurrence in both categories (and I fear it won't survive long).

Good catch Foro. That was an error on my part. It should be Argus, not the debut in there.

From a critical perspective, looks like 1991-92 was a pretty pivotal period for rock music.
A lot of it seemed groundbreaking at the time. And, like Cornfed said in the previous thread, it is interesting to see how much it holds up that well now.

Failed to add Innuendo to the poll.
Add a write-in vote against, if you wish.

In Rock — Deep Purple

In hindsight I regret voting for Dirt. Should have chosen Badmotorfinger instead.
(Mckindog, don't correct this; I willfully did what I did without a mistake; this is just an afterthought; hopefully Dirt survives this round)

Voted against all the newly added albums except Nevermind, plus Jimi, Crimson, Cult, Diary and Signals. I'll also do a write-in against Innuendo -- not my favorite Queen album.

I second Flash's nomination of Heritage.

I think Mob Rules is my favorite album on this list.
