Phase 1, Round 17 Results:
Heaven & Hell and I Fought The Law are promoted; Theme From Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me, Ballroom Blitz and Where Eagles Dare are eliminated.

Phase 1, Round 18:

My Friend Of Misery
Almost as good as the original, which is one of Metallica's best and most underrated songs. Original version is a bit heavier and has better solos... but the cover is also pretty good and changes enough stuff to keep it interesting.

Autobahn
Never heard the original. On its own the song is pretty good (could've been catchier) and has great production & sound. Has tough competition in this round though.

Flash Of The Blade
Pretty much a perfect song for ROF to cover, main melody (actually most of the guitar lines in this song) totally sounds like something they'd write. Keyboards just add to the overall epicness of the song. Gets my 1st vote.

Immigrant Song
Too many effects and autotune ruin what could've been a decent cover.

Rasputin
Awesome cover and another example of a band perfectly adapting someone else's song to their own sound. Gets my 2nd vote.

Voted for Rasputin but all it really does is make me want to listen to the original....

Immigrant Song gets second vote, cool ideas there.

Phase 1, Round 18 Results:
Rasputin and Flash Of The Blade are promoted; My Friend Of Misery, Autobahn and Immigrant Song are eliminated.

Phase 1, Round 19:

Cheap Trick's "Ain't That a Shame" is fun. Also voting for Urge Overkill 'cause I like that scene in Pulp Fiction...

Ain't That A Shame
Never heard the original. This cover was OK but nothing special really.

Midnight Cowboy
Never heard the original. This cover didn't do much for me. Sounded more like some sort of an interlude tbh.

Crimson & Clover
Never heard the original. This was pretty boring.

Headless Cross
This cover is pretty much by-the-book, but it polishes the awesome original and the vocals are maybe even more powerful. So it gets my 1st vote.

Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon
Never heard the original and didn't even know this was a cover until it was suggested for this game. Legendary mostly because of its appearance in Pulp Fiction, but still an awesome song and one of my favorites in this game. Gets my 2nd vote.

It's pretty clear which 2 songs are getting promoted, but if someone could break the tie between them... that'd be nice :)

Phase 1, Round 19 Results:
Crimson & Clover and Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon are promoted; Ain't That A Shame, Midnight Cowboy and Headless Cross are eliminated.

Phase 1, Round 20:

First two. CCR's is awesome and I really dig Robin Trower's slow blues on that cover.

Tyr do a great job on the music of Stargazer, but those vocals just pale so drastically in comparison to Dio.

Robin Trower's cover (which I've never come across before) is pretty cool. Sex Pistols is a classic. So voting for those two.
