Honestly all these covers are freaking awesome and would deserve to go through. Voting for Hurt & The Man Who Sold The World.

Phase 2, Round 3 Results:
Hurt and The Man Who Sold The World are promoted; Hallowed Be Thy Name, Heaven & Hell and Out In The Cold are eliminated.

Phase 2, Round 4:

Phase 2, Round 4 Results:
Mr. Tambourine Man and You Really Got Me are promoted; Battery, God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You II and America are eliminated.

Phase 2, Round 5:

Whiskey strikes me as one of the most overplayed songs ever. Maybe that has something to do with my family, though.

Deep Purple (or 'Deeple' as I just managed to type), and The Clash.

It's the folky versions I'm used to hearing. Still too much of a pub folk night staple for my liking. I'm sick to death of it, I'm afraid.

Totally valid response. I play it at pub gigs and there's always 1-2 people who groan and say, "Ugh...again?!" The problem is that everyone else in the pub cheers and sings along.

Phase 2, Round 5 Results:
Hush and I Fought The Law are promoted; Diamonds & Rust, Whiskey In The Jar and For Whom The Bell Tolls are eliminated.

Phase 2, Round 6:

Russell Allen absolutely slays Kill the King. It's amazing.

Also Visigoth because that's a really good song and Manilla Road's singer annoys me.
