That's probably their best song IMO. Though I'll give you a pass now since you only started listening to Amorphis and I didn't like a lot of songs I love now when I started listening to them :p

I'm sure my tastes may change over time, but I find that song wholly uninspired. It's not bad by any means, but certainly not a standout track.
 
If I only owned three Amorphis albums, I would want one of them to be Beginning of Times.

Sky is Mine, Three Words, On a Stranded Shore, Escape, Heart's Song
 
Mermaid, You I Need, Song of the Sage, Three Words, Soothsayer, Escape, Crack In A Stone, Heart's Song.

Sorry, I find this album slightly less inspiring. Fewer stand out tracks, fewer memorable moments, and either greater reliance on keyboards or something about the production making it all a bit two-dimensional, with less feeling all round.

I'm becoming ruthless because there's so much excellent quality stuff Amorphis stuff in this survivor. This album isn't my favourite. I quite like My Enemy, but compared to what's still in the game and what's to come, it's not high up on my list.
 
I agree. But this is about songs isn't it?

Rather select the other songs from this album, because then we progress faster, if progress is the sole aim of this ruthless voting.
 
It's about picking our least favourite songs. I picked my least favourite of those in this round. I like several of them, particularly My Enemy, but still rate it behind the others.
