I generally don’t have time for that, nor is it of the highest priority for me. Between school, social relationships and hobbies I rarely find myself feeling the need to read the news. The only news I read is the entomological journal, which is a subject I find more intriguing and important. Also I don’t understand politics very well —which is, from my experience, the most covered topic by the news. My inherent lack of understanding of politics lead to a disinterest in the subject, as I feel I don’t understand the foundational facts. I am trying to better in this department, but for the time being it is a roadblock for me.
Well, if you want to be better in understanding something, the first thing to do is to educate yourself. You're in school, so I get it - but once you're out of school, you're entirely responsible for your own education. Learning can be a lifelong habit and you can choose to grow that habit now.

Here's the first video btw.

And the second.

Not to move the subject away from a serious situation but his house looks surprisingly modest for a millionaire rock star.
Even small houses in that area with around 1500-2000 square ft go for upwards of 5 million. And the footprint can be misleading. Many of those homes built on hillsides can be 2 and even 3 levels.

In the last Metal Hammer Germany, the preview of the next issue announced an article about the new Smith/Kotzen album, possibly also an interview.
Now I'm looking through the new issue and there's - nothing! Not even the standard, a short review in the soundcheck.
Nothing at all.
And Metal Hammer Germany knows very well that their readers like everything related to Iron Maiden.
Maiden also won the readers' poll 2024 as best band again, this poll is in the new issue.

Has Adrian listened to the album one more time and decided that this collaboration has no new ideas and that it would be better to hide the album? :D
Very strange.
Or am I blind now? I'll have another look through the magazine.

The release date has been pushed to from early March to April sometime, so I think its a bit to soon for reviews. I ordered the vinyl from Sweden Rock Magazine, and it includes a signed poster. Very excited to put it in the office next to my signed Bruce Dickinson poster!

I rather liked the first album and went to the Manchester gig. I imagine they will look to tour it again, got the second LP on order.

Interesting track quite different to the previous single.
Interesting and slightly different structure-build of the rhythm. The riffing and verses remind me of Urchin. The chorus is playful enough, the vocal ideas work. Melodic singing is like a trademark for them. They said at first they didn't know if the song would be on the album, something like that. I like that the solos are longer, they work really well again (Adrian and Richie have great chemistry) and Adrian with a tasty solo of his own, cool and melodic (ofc). I dig it. The material manages to sound catchy, which is great for rock music.

Fun rock. I'm not sure it's that different from the previous single though, if at all. Two title tracks after all.

Really? I mostly hear very generic rock music elements.
I understand you, but I don't think I can call it generic rock elements with ease. More like a classic 70's rock sound (with some commercial vibe here and there) that's not really that generic. Interesting is different. And the most important thing is to be good. Decent and fine songs so far imo.

edit: Adrian & Richie:
''We had a lot of fun making this. We'd be writing and I'd want something inspired by some of my old hard rock or blues go-to bands then it'd go into a more progressive feel — and then Richie has these strong soul influences so there's a lot to dig into there too. Influences are what makes the musical world go round — they go through you and come out slightly differently''.
''SMITH/KOTZEN is all about finding common ground. Maybe Adrian will tend to go heavy, and then I'll lean more in the fusion or funk or soul side of things, but somewhere in the middle is our sound: that heavy blues rock vibe that we really connect on''.
