(re: The Untouchables) Yep, that's Adrian from that era. I got to see him in March of `92 with The Untouchables in Bradford, England. It was a great show- highlights being "Wasted Years" and "Back In The Village." Supposedly, he has an entire Untouchables live album "in the can," but never released it or any studio material. Maybe he will in the future, along with all of the other stuff he's done but not released, yet.

I really need more information on these gigs !!!! what was the setlist ??? please help me !!! thank you

hello everybody , im new here , i need information on the setlist of any gigs from The Untouchables or Skelleton Crew ? also , does anybody know if ASAP ever toured ? if so , does anyone knows what was the setlist they used to play ? than you very much

That information hardly exists. I honestly don't think there are any setlists of those gigs and there isn't any for ASAP that I know of either. I believe both bands did do small gigs around at different pubs and such but nothing on a large tour scale unfortunately. I will say that my knowledge of this is kind of thing is limited so someone may know more than I do.

As far as The Untouchables, there is this if you haven't seen it before:

(responding to Gabriel174): Oh man, it's been 24 years and my memory sucks! Getting old is not fun. :) Besides "Back In The Village" and "Wasted Years," I would say they (The Untouchables) played the 3 songs in the video above ("Big Trouble," "Singin' The Blues," and "Judgement Day"), but at the time they were totally unfamiliar to me, so I didn't make a note of the song titles. I seem to recall a song about "Lightning," but that could just as easily be wrong. I know, I'm great help. Oh, shoot, just remembered: they also played "Hooks In You." Now, it's *possible* that Carl, Adrian's brother-in-law and the other guitarist in The Untouchables, has the audio master reels of a live gig and it's *possible* that he's been mixing them for a *possible* release, but that's all speculation and conjecture. ;) Now, would I buy this hypothetical release? Hell yes! If it says "Featuring Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden" ANYWHERE on the packaging or promotional materials, I'll buy it in a heartbeat. Let's just hope that this music eventually does see light of day.

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks, Forostar! Sometimes I crawl out from the rock I've been hiding under, but it usually takes a shout out in my direction to get me off my arse! :) Semi-related, there were some clips of Adrian jamming on some AC/DC songs up on YouTube, but they got yanked pretty quickly. I think he did "Whole Lotta Rosie," "If You Want Blood," and "Overdose." He did a good job, the brief glimpse I got of them. It might just be him and some mates (AC/DSleaze?) having a good time, but it might also suggest where his head's at, with regards to any future projects. Instead of being all experimental and pushing boundaries (PRR), maybe he's getting back to his roots (Urchin/Evil Ways)? At any rate, the clips are gone and we just have to wonder why they got taken down. Would LOVE to see something new from the man, though. At this point, *anything* would be welcome!

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the info Chris , and to everybody else as well !!!
Adrian singing Hooks in you and flash in the blade must have been really cool
I heard somewhere that skeleton crew was the opening act for a band called Skin and it was a power trio , can you confirm this ?
Also can somebody point me to the right direction to someone who can talk about the ASAP tour that happened in 1989 ( did it really happened ? ) . The song The Lion is one of the most incredible songs ever written , hearing it live must be awesome .
I really would love to hear this Untochebles live recording that H and Carl have . Do you guys think it will ever see the light of day ?Does someone have the contact of any of these guys who H used to play with ?Facebook or something ? i know i am well over my head lol
I found this !!!Never seen this before , Adrian singing on Nickos Birthday

Thanks guys

Thanks for stirring up my memory. First I forgot that he performed on Nicko's birthday but when I played it, it started to dawn on me.

And the footage of him playing covers (e.g. of AC/DC) was posted in this thread too (by me):
Alrighty then, here's Adrian jamming last month:

I asked the guy who posted them online (via his Google account) for more detail, but he never replied unfortunately. That was back in April 2013, just after Steve's BL tour, and just before Maiden went back on the road with ME. If I recall correctly, judging by who he was jamming with, the footage was filmed in the US.
