A rare Bruce vocal performance!

I've heard of Marillion but never listened to them, never heard of this performance, thanks for sharing.

They had a huge hit in the 80's with Kayleigh, might jog a few memories.
Just listened to Kayleigh and I think it sounds pretty familiar. I bet they're big in the UK , but don't get much airplay time in the US.

Nope, they're not big in the UK either. They're a great band that's hung on for a long time now, but they're notoriously uncool. So much that they've even sold "Marillion: Uncool As Fuck" t-shirts.

They had a brilliant flash of 4 amazing albums when they started, but they lost all that momentum when Fish left.

Yes. His contract calls for it. And of course he'll most likely be going long after maiden is done.

Really? I'd always just assumed that he owed his record company an album after he joined Maiden, hence the half-baked, half-assed Tyranny of Souls album. The lack of a proper tour after it backed up my theory. Anyways, as I say, just an assumption of mine.

It's not really a bad album, I enjoy it when I listen to it.

Yea there is an interview (that I'm still searching for) that says he has to do at least 3 more.

Marillion's early stuff is pretty good -- their debut, A Script for a Jester's Tear, is probably their most acclaimed album, but I like Misplaced Childhood (which has the Kayleigh song) and Clutching at Straws.  If you like lush prog rock, you'll like those Marillion albums.  I don't know anything about their work after Fish left.

Marillion are one of my favourite bands. I have everyone of their albums.
It's a shame that most people didn't follow them after Fish left.
Marillion with Steve Hogarth is like a totally different band, and I now prefer the new stuff to the old Fish stuff.
'Marbles' is in my all time top 5 albums llist. An incredible album. I didn't actually like it when I first heard it. Like all good albums it needs attention and time to grow. I wish more people would give them a chance.
Here's an example of how good they are live
