Greece no initiative in the ovetime even when one man strong. You don't deserve to win if you don't want to play football! Vamos Costa Rica!
 
Thank God that Costa Rica won. If Greece had gone through then the quarter-final would have been at least 90 minutes of Arjen Robben running into the Greek defence and not passing it to anyone. Greece's manager's contract also ran out today.

I think the draw at the end of the 90 minutes was a fair result. Though Costa Rica definitely should have had a penalty for handball.

Although Costa Rica's offensive threat was close to non-existent throughout the match (even before they were reduced to 10 men), I still think they deserved to win due to their dogged determination in extra time, and Greece not creating enough with the man advantage. In terms of footballing skill, the match was pretty dire, but was very exciting once again during the last 25 or so minutes of the second half, and extra time. You could argue that the Costa Rica keeper was off his line before the penalty was taken during the miss that sent Greece out, but I still think they narrowly deserved to win. Holland won't be worried at all though, if they watched the match last night! lol

I don't know if that had anything to do with his total lack of emotion during the match. Even when Greece scored in added on time, his reaction was subdued to say the least. He seemed to lack any enthusiasm at all for the match. Wondering if that had anything to do with Greece's below par performance...

I'll say this about president Mujica he legalized marijuana, gave refuge to either displaced Syrians or innocent ppl that left Guantanamo. Can't remember which Of the two it was. And Uruguay has the highest standard of living in the Americas. I wish my country was run liked that.
