2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil

Holland vs Mexico has the makings of a potential classic! Dunno who to support during that one, as I usually support the underdog, but I've long been a fan of the Dutch team, so I'll stay neutral for that one, just hope the best team wins. :)

Will be supporting Greece in the other match, seeing as most neutrals seem to be wanting Costa Rica to win, and the fact that Samaras was a long time servant of Celtic. :P

Brazil reminds me of Sweden, and I'm not talking about the yellow shirts. They don't seem to have a working attacking strategy, they just rely on Ibrahimovic, sorry, Neymar to come up with something on his own.
I know the feeling with Wales and Gareth Bale, except we're nowhere near World Cup level. Ramsey I suppose is solid though.

Mexico-Netherlands will be a cracker. Costa Rica-Greece will be solid but not as exciting as the other games in this period.

Good parallell. My impression is that without Zlatan, Sweden would be on the same level as teams like Norway, Scotland, et cetera. With him, they are almost good enough for the Wrold Cup.

I agree with that assessment. There's been a pretty steep drop-off in quality in Sweden's national team - it wasn't that long ago we had a pretty solid team with Ljungberg, Mellberg, Larsson etc.

Holland vs. Mexico is the second round match I've been looking forward to the most, so come on now, teams, entertain me.

So far, Holland and Colombia excited me the most in the tournament.

Definitely. The Colombian midfield is second to none in this tournament and Holland's offensive prowess is a sight to behold.

Honestly, I think the Colombians are the dark horses to win the entire thing. They have a tougher half of the bracket than the Dutch and Argentinians do however.

Don't forget Costa Rica and Greece!

I'm actually looking forward to this match a lot. Neither team had expected to be in the second round, both will be playing with little pressure, hopefully this will mean we get a good match. Unless, of course, both are afraid to waste the opportunity they have got in getting a weaker opponent than expected.
