Thats what i think,any hint of kevin bruce steve being im the same city. If they record any other album could be in 2027 but i see another new theme tour for 2 more years.
 
Personally, I think they’ll record it in 2027. The late timeframe Bruce mentioned for his solo tour is very suspicious.

However, I don’t think we can rule out that the album has already been recorded just because there’s no evidence.
It wouldn’t be such an impossibility to do everything in secret without leaving any evidence, if they were determined to do so.

Well almost... Just took a look and indeed, never noticed that before. Dunno what to think of that. You take it as a hint Steve wanted to call it a day after Senjutsu?
Couldn't find Paul Di Anno in Steve's list tho.
 
I have always said and wished that they could just write and record as many songs as they could, without touring the songs just so us fans have something to listen to while the boys are doing other things than Maiden stuff.

5 & 6 years is a long time to wait!

They could easily do a double album.
Steve : 5 songs
Janick : 3 / 4 songs
H : 4 songs
Bruce : 3 songs
Davey : 2 / 3 songs
And a couple of songs together.
With no obligation to tour or anything. Steve has acknowledged that he knows we will go out and buy anything they put out, so, hook us up! :)

I don't feel he's keeping everything in secret this time, even Nicko, although knowing them, we shouldn't believe everything they say in interviews.

It's possible, why not. They key is how much of the leftover ''ready'' material from 2019 they would use. So mostly the recordings left.

Good idea, this way they can combine 2/3 tour ideas into one and play more rare songs.

It seems like recording new music isn't a priority for them now (who would have thought), but how could they come up with different and interesting concepts for tours. More hybrids (they could change the themes between legs/years with this, right)? We need that screen big BNW Eddie!

Not doing anything next year could be a lie, or they just don't know yet. Why not a good part of the material to be already written in advanced forms to be recorded next year? Or they want fresh ideas, not some of the 2019 ones. 2027 is our best bet anyway, especially if Bruce's solo tour is only in the fall (or if it starts in May).

He added it in his latest solo album notes, but that was in 2024, maybe by retirement he meant no new music forward? Wow. I hope not.

2-3 months in 6 years is a lot of time? The tours won't get any longer, despite this year's. Committing 2 years for a new album tour (the promo is not an issue) is probably what bothers them now (why not only 1 year, more different dates, stadiums), instead of touring more freely with the new stage and shorter(?) run of dates. But Priest can do it, why Maiden not anymore...

They are around their 70s. Do you expect them to play until their 80s? Iron maiden show is not like rolling stones the who black sabbath the songs are faster. I think there is a few tours more. Record promotion and tour they need as you say 2 or 3 years depending of how big is the tour. A tour with songs from any era is just what the tour last. And they can play the songs they want they dont need to play 5 songs from the new album. I dont see a new album coming but a few tours until they feel the dont want to play anymore. Maybe a farewell tour and a rare songs tour like FPT
 
Considering Steve’s recent interviews, he emphasized that he was outvoted regarding what to do in 2027. Could it be that this vote was mainly about touring? We know that Steve these days wants to stay on the road, but the other band members decided against it—and he’s not happy about that.

At the same time, a year off from touring doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t go into the studio to record a new album. In any case, Steve wouldn’t openly talk about that in interviews, since new music is usually kept under wraps.

So maybe he’s frustrated because instead of touring in 2027, he might have to spend time in the studio, dealing with the pressure of creating a new album. It’s speculation, of course, but I think that, lacking a better option, Steve will eventually go along with it—and they’ll end up recording new material in 2027, whether quietly or not. A new album is coming.

But only in 2028 at the earliest. :(

A year off for them is spend the year with the families and bruce steve and adrian with his solo proyect. Thats my opinion. But a year off is that steve will have 72 in 2028 as bruce said they dont want to stop but someday they will force to do it. I think we will see 2 more tours.

Someone mentioned in 2021 when Senjutsu was coming out how gaps were 3-4-5-6 years and mentions how next album will come out in 2028. I was thinking like "no way they'll wait 7 years to put out just one more album", but now it seems really real. I still think it has bigger chance to come out in 2027 cause since BNW all albums came out in second half of the year, so from july until december is most likely to come out in my opinion. That way tour will be perhaps early 2028.

Album tour, history tour and farewell tour I think. Still, I don't think Maiden retirement will be like full abandonment of music. They'll still have solo projects, but I think they'll have occasional shows and so on.
 
If we are going to get another album then it really needs to be written and recorded early 2027. If they can get it done within the first 3/4 months then those that want to spend time with their families can go off and do that and Bruce and Adrian have some time to spend with their other musical projects.

Release the album late 2027, say around Oct followed by the announcement of a tour in 2028. The tour should then be another hybrid tour like the future past. 5 songs from the new album, 5 from whatever album they decide to go with (piece of mind would be a good choice as it’s the 45th anniversary in 2028) and then a few other classics. This way they get the best of both worlds without having to do a 2/3 year album only tour then another greatest hits tour which they might be too old for by then.

This tour could last 2/3 years and would likely be the last big tour the band ever did. After this they would just stop without saying it’s over with the option if they feel up to it for the odd festival headline slot or one off eddfest.

In my opinion this is the only realistic option they really have.

If they don’t record and release an album next year we won’t ever get one. All we’ll get is one last tour starting in 2028 with another greatest hits set based on whatever theme they can come up with.

I can’t see any other way they could go other than one of these options.
 
Yeah I did think Steves recent interview where he said:

"It seems like next year Maiden are not going to do, if anything… anything at all."

That he might have been about to say "not going to do any live shows/touring" but caught himself to not give away the possibility of going into the studio. But that could just be me being overly optimistic.

They definitely could record and release in 2027 as they've done previously and then announce a tour for 2028.
