Of course you are. I’m just not attacking you personally for yours.am I not entitled to mine?

Yeah sure, you mean £100 like this year, they aren`t the Manics and the price reflects such.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion obviously , the issue on here is that the forum big hitters tend to be the negative type and it gets a bit tedious reading it so understandably people want to challenge it on occasion.
I mean if an alien dropped in to this place they would be hard pushed to know we are actual Maiden fans i reckon.

Your opinion is of course valid, but it really isn`t expensive (UK ticket) especially for a comfortable middle classer once a year for pleasure , if you still get pleasure from it which i suspect is debatable.£100 was quite steep if you ask me (and I live a comfortable middle-class life), but definitely more affordable than the ticket prices for 2026.![]()
Saying ‘I would rather see the band go out on a high’ is not a negative. It’s a more dignified end for a band of Maiden’s stature.Everyone is entitled to an opinion obviously , the issue on here is that the forum big hitters tend to be the negative type and it gets a bit tedious reading it so understandably people want to challenge it on occasion.

That quote isn`t a negative quote no and not one i said was. I would agree in principle with it it`s just that i didn`t see anything this year in the 2 concerts i attended to suggest we need to worry about it yet.Saying ‘I would rather see the band go out on a high’ is not a negative. Apart from the blaze era and some shows that bruce was sick there is no bad iron maiden show in 50 years. Thats what i thinkThat quote isn`t a negative quote no and not one i said was. We all know the negative opinions on here are a regular theme. Someone even mentioned the t shirt cost versus the production cost , i mean try the same logic to everything in life you buy i`d say.
And i suppose to be fair it isn`t just Maiden who get it , the Rush thread is full of complaints and moans too from people who have no intention of going to see them anyway. It`s a very British thing , knock a success and champion the underdog.
I also agree in principle with your quote of loving Maiden but not unconditionally. I totally agree the ticket costs in North america are very high but of course the usual suspects have hung drawn and quartered Maiden and Rod for it already rightly or wrongly, it`s a free hit.
Do you support a football team for example? full of overpaid mercenaries most with no interest in the club`s fans or history and regularly don`t perform for the fans . You know what you get with a Maiden performance and for that i consider it fun and value to me so far and including this tour.
It wasn`t me calling them a cabaret act just to be clear, i was answering a previous post where it came up again.Cabaret? 7 of 10 songs of the last album were played live. And they are still sounding like iron maiden other bands cant say the same wasp gnr and many other for sure. They are celebrating their 50 years
I would agree , i think it`s an indisputable fact that they are one of the best live acts ever.Apart from the blaze era and some shows that bruce was sick there is no bad iron maiden show in 50 years. Thats what i think
There is tons of shows on youtube. A few mistakes but always a good show. I know that you werent calling a cabaret act i just was pointing your last prhases you know that maiden is a good show. And still think that live they are better than metallica kiss and many other bands and still nowadays. It wasn`t me calling them a cabaret act just to be clear, i was answering a previous post where it came up again.

I mean how about Premier League Football, Wimbledon, F1GP ,SKY subscription, or food costs, gas cost, fuel for the car every week do they cause you as much pain as Maiden related costs?

Which bit`s getting personal?Making things personal, aren’t we?
Maiden are one of the many bands I enjoy (enough to write reviews about their gigs for a webzine); I used to try and see them live twice per tour but with the current prices that is becoming less appealing and I’d rather spend that money to see 2 or 3 gigs from other bands.
Regarding the other things you mention, I couldn’t care less about most of them (in terms of sports, basketball is my choice and can see professional games with all the family at very affordable prices) and I am lucky enough to cycle to work.![]()
Which bit`s getting personal?
You have quoted yourself as `comfortable middle class` in more than one post on here including the one i replied to, why you have mentioned it i`m not sure, it`s pretty irrelevant. But if you are in that class then £100 isn`t too expensive so it must be a lack of value to you then, which again i can`t figure based on what they offered up.Judging my choices as a "a comfortable middle classer" who does things "once a year for pleasure , if you still get pleasure from it which i suspect is debatable"?
I mean, it can get more personal, but that was clearly a dig, wasn't it?
