Senjutsu is now in No 13 in the UK Top 100 Albums charts. Impressive legs on this album!

    Senjutsu charts position

Mosh, you are literally doing God’s work. All I wanted from this thread were the chart positions and all that info is now buried in a sea of Nightwish love/hate/origin story.

New Single - The Writing on the Wall

To reiterate my comments on the album rumors thread, less metal and more classic rock. Would fit great in a Dio-era Rainbow album, right next to 16th Century Greensleeves. That solo by H was immense. Love the production too, very organic.

Iron Maiden studio album 17 rumours and speculations

Official news item from the website. The video is very much Bruce's baby. But no mention of the new album...hmmm. https://www.ironmaiden.com/news/article/iron-maiden-reveal-first-new-music-in-6-years-with-spectacular-animated-video-the-writing-on-the-wall

Iron Maiden studio album 17 rumours and speculations

Out on Spotify/Apple Music, all other digital platforms too. Reminded me of a Rainbow track from the Dio era, maybe something like 16th Century Greensleeves. Overall, very impressed and excited!

Little musical cues that you love

I am surprised actually that no one else has mentioned the badass riff in Lord of Light that comes in after the quiet part (Around 01:39 if I remember correctly). Pure magic and elevates the song to another level.

    From Here To Eternity

I have always thought this song is very similar in melody and structure to Cinderella’s Shake Me :p.Even the solo gives a very 80s hair metal vibe!

Little musical cues that you love

    1) The “I’ve got to keep running..” part in Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner. Bruce sounds so desperate, and the music just builds and builds before exploding into the solo. 2) This one is more obvious, but the little bass solo after Adrian’s solo in Number of the Beast is my favorite...

    Bruce Dickinson

Maybe slightly off-topic, but it was interesting to read that Bruce has used his experience of fighting cancer in helping Dave Mustaine. Also, Bruce did struggle with his voice for a while after his treatment, before coming back even stronger. This is the first-ever interview ever since...

    LEGACY OF THE BEAST 2019

Since people have been posting about celebrity musicians attending Maiden shows, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm also attended the Nashville show. Saw them while getting out and said a quick thanks to them for their great show at Knoxville earlier this month (They opened for Alice...

    LEGACY OF THE BEAST 2019

The Raven Age might just be the most generic metal band I have seen at a major gig. Musical equivalent of watching paint dry.

Doogie White (Ex-Rainbow) recounts his Iron Maiden audition story

Quite an interesting read. Hadn't heard the details of his audition for Iron Maiden before. Doogie seems like a very nice guy! http://sleazeroxx.com/singer-doogie-white-recalls-his-iron-maiden-audition-and-his-time-with-yngwie-malmsteen/

    Bruce Dickinson

Seems like the whole Roy Z rant was the result of the combination of social media and alcohol. Not the first person to share their inner feelings to the world under the influence. Hopefully no lasting damage done. On a personal note, drunk texting one of my friends about my feelings for a mutual...

    Bruce Dickinson

I am friends with Roy Z in Facebook, and judging by his latest posts it seems like there is a rift between Bruce and him. He shared the interview Bruce did with Charlie Rose pointedly and seemed bitter about not being the producer for BNW. No chance of a follow up to TOS then?
