So this tour is a mix of old historic material and Senjutsu.
Senjutsu is about war and tactics. You know who was a great tactical leader who is pretty damn historic?
Alexander the Great. It's happening
After listening to this record 1 month straight on my way to work and back, I think I can judge it now. Probably a 6.5/10.
While it has amazing melodies, sometimes it's really too long ( which I usually don't mind). It's just plotting along too much.
If I'd have to rate the songs from best to...
If i'd have to rank from favorite to least :
Hell on Earth
Days Of Future Past
Stratego
Senjutsu
Darkest Hour
The Time Machine
The Parchment
The Writing on the Wall
Death of the Celts
Lost in A Lost World
The only real stinker as of now for me is Death of the Celts. Probably I expected more from the title and comparison to Clansman.
Standouts : Stratego, DOFP, Darkest Hour, Hell on Earth and in parts The Time Machine
Truth. This record will need a lot of time. Very diverse record. Great Melodies all around and a lot of sudden tempo changes. Pretty mixed bag. Still way too early to tell where this one ranks among the other albums. Love Steve's Bass sound on his tracks and Bruce is killing it everywhere.
So I got 3 options on Friday. Go to doctor holiday to get time off work, wake up early to listen to the album or arrive late at work to listen to the album on my way to work.
