If you're going to generalise then sure you are going to see things the opposite way around  ::) He doesn't always play "sloppy" as with the example of Blood Brothers. There are many more examples of his fine guitar playing skills.

Yup, this recently made the Rock Band videogame forums explode with annoyed people. While we're on the subject, respect to Harmonix and/or Maiden themselves for making a point about not letting you play or sing the Churchill intro or the intro to Aces High in the game. It adds so much immersion.

It was for the fanclub, I got one early last year (probably from that very batch shown in the film). Had it up in my flat during uni for ages, very nice. I doubt you'd be able to obtain a photo now but if you signed up to the fanclub, they are very likely to do it again, and you also get loads...

Fair enough, but then said people who play it hours on end include me so :p I did pick up a guitar because of Guitar Hero 1 actually and did get to the level of playing Wrathchild in real life, but unfortunately had to stop because I went to university and didn't feel I could keep up the focus...

You completely miss the point, its to inspire people, but at the same time provde fun for people who don't have the time, effort or drive to learn a real instrument. Lets face it, there's little point in picking up an instrument unless you are serious, and a lot of people might not like the idea...

Finally! I've been asking for this for ages and always wondered why we were always stuck with covers. This news made my day  :D I can't decide what instrument to play them on first, I'll probably go for singing them first.  :lol:

According to people who (apparently) know Riggs, he has a bizarre sense of humour, and some of his quotes about hating Maiden, never doing the artwork again, etc are not meant to be taken literally ;) I'm willing to bet this is the reason, as its rather strange for someone to hate the very band...

Again, I don't mean "as a warning" or as "prevention". I mean when they have to take someone else to court, the defenders will just point to this case and it will instantly weaken Maiden's case. Sure, Maiden will still be within their rights and will probably win in court anyway, but they can't...

I don't think there is an "Iron Maiden" for each seperate generation nor do I think there is a "next" Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden is great because it is like no other. I do not expect to see a band repeat what Maiden have done and what they are precisely. Green Day....I see no connections at all...

You fail to see my point yet again - its not a problem per se with people being misled in this particular case. Its a problem with what happens when someone else does it to a larger scale in future? If Maiden do nothing now they only leave themselves open to criticism later.

^Again, thats a different example, this is the band's name, something that holds more recognition than a song name or album name and thus something they can be more strong on with copyright. But really, they do this to protect themselves in future like I keep saying.
