Trooper master track seperated

Wow this is great! Are these the original audio tracks from the master? Or perhaps a remake?

And what other Maiden songs they have stripped-out like this?

I have no idea if they are from the original masters or the remasters, I'm guessing Steve was very good at looking after these things and they are from the original masters.
The other songs are not yet up on youtube but they will be:
2 Minutes to Midnight
Powerslave
Can I Play With Madness?
The Clairvoyant
The Number of the Beast
Run To The Hills
Wasted Years

I'll try and update this thread when they are uploaded.

Thanks for the links!

I still have to hear them but, if these are real master tracks, this looks like pretty illegal uploading if you ask me.
I can't imagine that the band/management/record company are aware of it.

This is too special to "give" away without any explanation.

Well, as it's an integral part of putting the song in these games, it seems that it would make sense for someone to take the game apart eventually.

Yes, its probably not legal, but until the band or management ask for them to be taken down, there's nothing wrong with listening to them ;)

Which is a very good reason to download them now. ;)

I wouldn't worry about it being illegal.  Technically, I think most bootlegs are illegal too.  And after owning 8 copies of The Trooper already (4 video and 4 audio), I personally wouldn't worry about it being morally justifiable.

Yeah, I gave Maiden my share of money for The Trooper as well... and I don't think they will be all pissy about it either, this sort of stuff is interesting for die-hard fans only anyway.

Awesome (sounding) bass. I always knew it of course, but this shows it again.

The vocal track is my favourite!

Like this you can really hear how much Bruce is into it. And you hear some of the rhythm guitars during the solo parts, which are omitted in the guitars-track presentation.

Looking forward to the rest (please keep us updated ;) ).
:)

I'd really to get the original game files (i.e. not from YouTube). They should have very high quality audio!
I'll try to get into it when I get back home next weekend.

Wow !! great  :)

Bass track for me !!

Anyone has them converted to mp3 maybe ??

There is a freeware clone of Rock Band called Frets On Fire (I think I've posted about it before). The community behind that game usually rips all these audio tracks from the Rock Band game into the Frets On Fire format. This format is OGG Vorbis - a lossy format, even more than mp3, chosen because it results in small file sizes. So it's not great audio quality, but it's better than nothing.

If anyone cared to look at the various Frets On Fire sites, it's entirely possible they have all the files uploaded to sites like Rapidshare by now.

I can take a look at those sites later, but in case anyone was immediately desperate I thought I'd let you know now.
