I've adjusted Google's Auto-Ads settings (which figure out where to put ads) to remove this particular placement so hopefully it should stop happening in the next hour or so.

The accounts on the forum are 100% complete all the way back to the very start in 2002, so if you had a different account before in 2006 you should still be able to use it. Let me know if you need any help with it.

The Google Ad embed code is the same. Google dynamically chooses where to put them, so it might have gotten a bit confused with the new layout. Let me know if it's annoying over time/doesn't learn to put them somewhere better.

Ah yeah - that's intentional on their part - fixed width for text content as it gets really hard to read text as sentence gets longer and longer. A bunch of popular websites do this nowadays. Apologies, hopefully at least the whitespace they've cut down between posts/headers/metadata at least...

Curious if something's acting odd - would be interested if you could attach a screenshot. I'm mainly a laptop user and the layout feels fairly dense here, although the posts will stop getting wider at a fixed point (which is usually for readability, think you're ideally supposed to have 50-60...
