I listened to TXF at the store when it came out but passed for a few reasons (I also skipped A Real Dead One having been extremely disappointed with the quality (okay, Bruce's voice) of A Real Live One). 1) I really did not like No Prayer or FotD, so even a Bruce-fronted IM album may have been a...
I can think of close to 65 Maiden songs that I like better than Paschendale! I actually have it at 72nd. (Maybe I should be posting this in the other blasphemy conversation!)
1. Piece of Mind
2. Powerslave
3. Notb / Killers (bought at the same time)
5. Iron Maiden
6. Somewhere in Time
7. Seventh Son
8. No Prayer
9. Fear of the Dark
10. Brave New World*
11. Dance of Death
12. AMOLAD
13. TFF
* Between BNW and DoD I downloaded a few TXF songs from my brother in law...
Another point I don't like in this whole Osgood is a Hall of Famer discussion is his 3 Stanley Cups. One (1997) he was the back-up and in 2009 he came off the bench to take over for Hasek. That is not to mention that he wasn't even on Detroit's 2002 Championship team. He was a soild goalie, but...
If they cut two 2000-era songs from the 2011 setlist and replace them with older, non-overplayed songs I think a U.S. tour would work quite well. There are plenty of people in the States that would love to see more than just El Dorado.
I'll second Maiden England (which works as a worthy companion/follow-up to Live After Death since it was a rare time in Maiden's history where they were playing different songs and "overlooked gems" such as Still Life and the Prisoner).
Beast Over Hammersmith is also hard to find, but well...
If they're not going to play a song called "Caught Somewhere in Time" on a tour called "Somewhere Back in Time" it is very unlikely we'll get to see it live in the future. Playing CSiT would have been soooooo much better than Heaven Can Wait (again).
There's a big difference between ROTAM and ATG. Rime has been either runner-up or co-champ of Maidenfans survivors, while ATG is merely one of the top 8 songs on the recent album survivor winning Somewhere in Time.
AGREED. Still Life was not played on most US dates in 1988 either, so for many it hasn't been played since '83. How many people on here were even born in '83? Get it done!
