When he is frustrated and pissed, we might get an album as beautiful as No Prayer For The Dying. A dream come true.

Well almost... Just took a look and indeed, never noticed that before. Dunno what to think of that. You take it as a hint Steve wanted to call it a day after Senjutsu? Couldn't find Paul Di Anno in Steve's list tho.

This is more or less exactly my thinking for quite a while yet. But I think the album has already been recorded.

    News 18th Studio Album discussion

I still have the strong feeling 2027 will be the year they'll release #18. Long time recorded yet. Even if they now announced a break. It might be even true in a way from their point of view, since releasing #18 in late 2027 wouldn't mean "work" in their definition when it's already been...

Maybe it was Rod who wanted the break since he is stressed out administrating all the money.

    Favorite post-80's Maiden album closer?

Mother Russia for me. It has become so unplayable these days tho, unfortunately. And I don't want my neighbors to think I was a Putin fanboy.

Overdrive pedal question ( --> overtone boost needed)

Hi everyone, maybe one of you can help me. Can someone recommend me an overdrive pedal that boosts the natural overtones of the guitar tone? I am looking for such a component to the texture of my sound, and such a pedal doesn't necessarily have to bring a lot of gain to the sound, a low gain...

    One thing that I don't understand (reunion vs. 1980s & early 90s)

Does anyone have a plausible explanation for why the classic twin guitar harmonies were and are completely being neglected almost throughout the entire reunion era? I mean, it used to be a trademark for Maiden ever since, perhaps THE trademark. Thinking of The Clairvoyant, Aces High, The Trooper...

News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

But we have seen so often, constantly over the past 40 years. I think it is much more exciting to see Maiden now with Simon.

The inner circle of Maiden's headquarters in forums like ours

Every now & then it's getting stated that the inner circle of the Maiden headquarters is represented here in this forum, too. So, which fellow users here would you suppose to most likely being a spy from the Maiden admin towers?

Which album do you prefer: The Book Of Souls or Senjutsu?

For me exactly THIS vocal part is one of the brilliant moments of the whole album, I absolutely LOVE it: "Now under siege have the real strength to hold them now Have to believe that we can repel them Faith in the years our ancestors taught us Have the belief that we can protect the wall Try if...

What do they have in the Video vault?

Oh, I haven't seen this. Never heard something like that existed. Is there any link to?

What do they have in the Video vault?

I am sure they documented every tour in some form, even if they claim otherwise.

Which album do you prefer: The Book Of Souls or Senjutsu?

The Clansman was cool and interesting during Ed Huntour, but soon after that it got boring. I was really happy when they had DOTC part of their setlist in 2023, I didn't really expect it.

Those of you that have seen 15 times or more

Yeah, interesting indeed, the longer I think about. I definitely loved every single Maiden show I ever attended yet, also those from the past 20 years, but the older days had some special kind of magic to them, idk. But my opinion is far from being representative anyway, I mean, my favorite...

Those of you that have seen 15 times or more

I've seen them 56 times since 1990. My personal highlights: 1990 Hannover (phenomenal setlist) 1999 Ed Huntour Hamburg (band super on fire) Donington 2003 (well, Donington...) 2005 Dublin (met the band that day which made the show even more special in a way) 2005 Prague (Charlotte been played)

Which album do you prefer: The Book Of Souls or Senjutsu?

Definitely not among my faves too, but I think Wildest Dreams is FAR worse than Speed Of Light.
