This interests me. Do you/anyone else who cares to comment think Burce is genuinely xenophobic? It's an unsavoury comment, for sure. But if someone was in a rage with a someone wearing glasses they might call them a speccy cunt, for example. So Greek Cunt could be purely situational. Still shows some kind of British/Western centric mindset, I think. Like people outside London or LA or Paris don't matter, maybe.

I'm not saying I'm convinced that Bruce isn't a cunt but just discussing it.

Like, how did our Greek brethren in here take it? Did you feel super offended?

Yeah, we all know Bruce has some pretty questionable political stances and all, but I honestly don't think he was being xenophobic. I think he was just pissed off and dropped 'greek cunt' because the show was in Greece.
 
I think Bruce even expressed regret for using the word "Greek" in recent times and stated that it was out of order from him. IIRC he said that he should've just called him a cunt.

I don't think the "Greek cunt incident"® means Bruce is xenophobic. He was frustrated and just said the first thing that came to his mind. He saw a cunt who happened to be Greek and called him out, so to speak. That whole thing didn't really affect my view of him.

Him being pro-Brexit and all that on the other hand...
 
I don't care about politics or Bruce's political views, but he isn't xenophobic. Being Greek myself, I found the "greek c*nt" incident quite funny. He was a c"nt after all. We all have to respect the artists. Hetfield for example didn't give a f*ck about flares. He enjoyed it. Bruce doesn't and he has the first say
 
We follow the band for so long and/or so closely that we think we know them.
But what we see from the outside and what is really going on behind the scenes are often two different things - we must never completely forget that.
I actually believe that Bruce isn’t xenophobic.
But somehow it’s always bothered me a bit how you can have a happy relationship with someone as far to the right as Leana (there have been discussions about this here as well) when you yourself think so fundamentally differently about such a basic attitude toward life.
I certainly couldn’t do that.

Of course he isn`t xenophobic, he was pissed off in Greece and used two relevant words together to get his point across. Has anybody on here ever been to a football match or on a night out in a major city and come home offended?

This place is too interested in looking for problems that aren`t there especially when it comes to Politics and Bruce,it stinks the place out all too often.

We can be almost certain that he wouldn't say Israeli cunt in Tel Aviv without being cancelled from everywhere or Irish /Scottish cunt in Dublin /Glasgow without being burnt alive.
Just to name 3 of the many countries he most definitely wouldn't use nationality slur, not even by accident or tongue slippage.

Yes I saw that but did he apologize? Did Iron Maiden management cared to apologise at any point? And in the end fuck the apology. The best apology would be they play "for Greece only" ATG this time. Did they care to even consider deviating from their sacred routine for their fans?

So to answer to @Cat Milk Supreme I don't feel offended. Never was. I feel deeply disappointed.

Look at the video below, 2 weeks ago Metallica came to Greece and took the time to learn and play and sing!! "De khoras pouthena" (1:30) a rock Greek song of 90s to please their Greek fans.
This performance was obviously for Greece only, something that made it special and unforgettable. You get my point? And on the other hand you have this shitty little cunt of man demonstrably enjoying denying ATG (0:10) to the audience during the intro of Infinite Dreams**
Having that as fresh as two weeks ago, the contrast between the two approaches is too sharp to ignore.

**Not sure if it's entirely related :D but a few songs later, during the most difficult song for his cords (Aces High, 2:08), a smoke-dense fire appeared just in front of the scene.
