This is my take on the situation as a fan now too. I know everyone sees things differently and wants different things from Maiden but this year and what ever follows the year off next year is stuff to appreciate. Setlist , backdrop, prices aside , enjoying it while you can really should be a priority.
 
I’ve seen an excerpt of an interview to Ralph Phiennes in TV News because his featuring in a New movie called ‘28 years later’ about zombies . The question of The interviewer: Did You like The dance under Iron Maiden music? Ralph Phiennes smile and laugh and says : well… and The Number of The beast sounds with a naked dancing Ralph Phiennes. I’ve also seen some references to Virus single cover

You can see another interview in YouTube torontosun YouTube channel where he is asked about Maiden and he says he Liked it.

ive heard other 77 tapes before , but not this one. Do you think its real? If real, what song this is? Purgatoty? Transylvania?

btw I saw the film last weekend and both the movie and that scene are fuckin' awesome. Maiden scene is really sth to watch in cinemas. It looks great, it's fun and funny, haunting and has a lot of meaning. I really loved it! Alex Garland is a genious screenplay writer and him putting Maiden like this in a movie is very pleasing for a cinema and a Maiden fan. Directing and of course the acting of Ralph Fiennes is great too.

I remember Hot Tub Time Machine as a a cool comedy, the character who wear Maiden shirt was a little goofy but it was nice to see a reference to Maiden in that movie.

And do they need promise when a character wear sth... Then there are a lot of movies where people wearing Maiden tshirts. For example this small budget indie / festival movie has its main actor wearing Maiden Senjutsu tshirt on a lot of scenes, even in the Letterboxd poster:

In Hot Tub Time Machine the guy wearin the Maiden t shirt is an absolute prick. So I'm guessing that Shack thinks that audiences will infer that Maiden are a nonsense bullshit band because the fan in the film is a gimp. I can't remember any Maiden chat in the film though.

Kalata, no offense, but why do you spoil all the interviews for us? Do you assume we can’t read? Would you please let us enjoy the thing first hand?
 
I also really appreciate Kalata's posts! It gives me an idea to see if there's anything in there that interests me. If not, I can skip it without having to waste too much time. If there's interesting information I can click on the link and see the rest for myself.
