My logic: Killers is a classic Maiden record (despite my own feelings on it). Murders and the title track are two of the three most popular songs on it, therefore they’re classics despite less live play.

That's true, in that sense every song from the golden era is a classic. That'd include stuff like The Prophecy, Sun & Steel or Flash of the Blade though. Sure, they're technically classics, but they're also in a tier below the rest of the popular tracks. I think Poto put it nicely:

I'm okay with describing them like that. Personally when I say classics, I mean those that also appear (semi-)regularly in setlists.

No, that’s why I specifically said Murders and Killers are 3 (with Wrathchild) of the most popular songs from that album. Something like Prodigal Son, Innocent Exile, even Purgatory would be a deep cut. Poto said it best though, they’re classics but live rarities.

Ah fair enough, kinda missed that qualifier. It makes sense defining them like that, but it's not how I see them personally. As an example to illustrate my point, I imagine the "play classics" crowd on an AMOLAD concert were asking for stuff like The Trooper or TNOTB, not Murders or Killers.

But maybe I'm underestimating the popularity of these songs. When I see discussions about Maiden from casual fans, those aren't the songs that get too much attention.

Not that I disagree with all, but like with any old band, right. Every single word you said. So I think it's fair of us to expect new music from a band like Maiden.

Yes. I just hope they realize how much each individual member means to us and they'll think twice.

I think Richie is the spark for them to release new music more often than before.

I'll always say new album no matter what! As much new music as possible. I love deep cuts, but the excitement of new music is unmatched.

And btw, they could combine new album + Part 2/some deep cuts and the 5 classics. LOTB and TFP tours showed that.

Why not celebrate the whole Reunion era instead. Doing a new album tour (2028-2029) would allow them to do a Hits tour again after it with songs from all eras.

1- the band still sounds great, Bruce is amazing, so I believe in them. They won't be a parody live. Never.
2- when the tours are short and the shows are big, I don't think they will need to play only their classics over and over again, the desire to see them from the fans will be even greater. No? And let's not forget that they have very popular live songs not only from the 80s.
3- I'm afraid of that too.

A band that plays live a new album on a tour amolad and 70% of the songs of other new album and usually 5 or 6 songs of the last album is not a cabaret act. Other bands only play 1 or 2 songs of the new album acdc for example. I dont see maiden doing greatest hits tours over and over. If they are going to tour the rest of the years we are goinh to see many songs forgotten from their discography. They know whatever they play the venue will be filled. Small venues or big stadiums depends of thr tour. But TFPT in usa were pavilions and with good atendance
