Almost everything since 2010.
I heavily disagree. Both of those songs, especially live, are clear 10/10s in my opinion. Anthems to sing along to, filled to the brim with amazing melodies. Not a single wasted second on either of them.
Not in my book.Journeyman is amazing y'all.
Not a chance.Paschendale on the other hand definitely belongs to the boring pile.
Decent songs but NML is a more boring song than Paschendale with `No More Lies` repeated way too many times.I far prefer NML and DOD as epics,
Journeyman and no more lies are boring, easy and a bit soft. Not in my book.
Not a chance.

Remember Tomorrow and Prodigal Son comes to mind, they kinda suck imo
Not at all, especially the live version where Bruce varies the melody. The chorus itself doesn't get repeated that often throughout the song. The "chanting the same line over and over again" style of chorus is something Maiden have been doing since the 80s. Children Of The Damned, Caught Somewhere In Time, SSOASS. Hell, Fear Of The Dark has a section dedicated to chanting the title. You don’t think the repeat repeat repeat chorus of No More Lies is a bit excessive? Not quite Angel & The Gambler level, but still …
Also, No More Lies is one of the very few post-reunion songs that sees all three guitarists trade off solos one after another.
I know it's supposed to be semi-emotional, but opting to make it a plodding mid-tempo rocker baffles me to this day. Would've been much improved as an acoustic track. But yeah, as is the song does nothing for me, so I'd rank it as a bit boring as well.Tears of a Clown bores me to tears.
I agree. For me:I know it's beloved on the forum, but my choice is The Parchment.
It's not a bad song, it has great moments. In fact, there are quite a few songs that I actually dislike or which I like less than The Parchment. Despite that it's this song that is boring me.
When I was listening to Senjutsu for the very first time, getting towards the end of this song was the very first time I ever had the feeling of "shouldn't this be over by now? When is it ending?" when listening to Maiden. It keeps the same tempo for almost the entire song. The double-time section at the end of the song should've happened literal minutes prior.
People wanted this one to be played live, but it would completely killed the mood in my opinion. Hell, mainstream fans are bored during the quiet sections in Rime and SSOASS (particularly the latter). The Parchment would fail miserably live, so I'm glad they chose not to play it.
